I ordered cabinets back in November through Home Depot. When they arrived 6 weeks later, 2 weeks late, there were 10 of 33 pieces that were defective and had to be replaced.

The replacement which was promised in 10 days, showed up 2 weeks late and 5 of the 10 replacements were defective. These were manufacturing flaws not the result of shipping.

I called the Thomasville rep, Peter in Illinois, numerous times after receiving the unusable replacement shipment to get some answers as to how this could happen. He said that my numerous calls were unreasonable and that he was canceling my order. I guess if I expected quality and fair delivery from your group, then I am unreasonable.

I immediately went to Home Depot to save Peter the trouble of canceling my order for over $10,000. Peter is a poor representative for Thomasville.

Instead of trying to correct the problem, he tried to convince me that he was the victim with all of my calls. I guess he forgot the inconvenience of having to wait three months to receive defective cabinets and continue to put off my remodel due to your company's poor quality of product and poor quality personnel.

I ordered Thomasville, thinking they were good quality... I can tell you that Thomasville cabinets suck...

I have purchased 20 plus kitchens and they are flat out...

the worst.

Finishing issues, cracking, splitting, separating, you name it...

These are not high end cabinets... do not be fooled by posts that claim their great....

i think that they blog to offset all of the true bad reports... I WILL NEVER BUY THEIR *** CABINETS AGAIN....

Our Thomasville cabinets installation was scheduled for July 13. As installers began to unpack cabinets, we immediately realized a lot of issues: multiple broken cabinets, knots that were holes, cabinets not as ordered, and our crown-mold was the wrong color (about 20 separate issues - too many to list).

We stopped installation and have been trying to get resolution. We purchased thru Home Depot and they handled delivery and installation. There is absolutely no quality control at Thomasville. They slap them together, box and ship.

It is 50 days since install was stopped and still no kitchen. I can't install my oven because the cabinet is so damaged. Waiting for Thomasville to order, ship and install everything correctly. Thomasville and Home Depot do not have staff trained to handle this type of dissatisfaction.

I will not settle for mediocre and I want my money back. I emailed Masterbrand all the details 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing.

Bought an entire kitchen of Thomasville cherry wood cabinets, purchase from Home Depot... top quality, no particle board..

Within a year so, (Mind you, NO CHILDREN AT HOME ANYMORE), the finish is worn off on numerous cabinets around the pulls and looks like ***! I waited for YEARS to remodel by kitchen and the cabinets look like I have had them 30 years. THEY LOOK JUST AWFUL! Not sure what to do to fix them!

Of course "warranty" is not good anymore. I am just so PISSED!

Still happening. I bought a Thomasville 93" Linen cabinet and a 60 inch vanity cabinet.

One linen cabinet door had router like tooling marks all down the side of one of the raised panels (did not take stain properly leaving many dime sized light spots in the finish. The color was much lighter than the sample (requiring me to refinish the brand new cabinets in order for them to match our other trim and counter top in the bathroom I am doing). I found a 2" split in one drawer face and a similar split in one of the linen cabinet doors in a raised panel. I also only received 12 shelf hanger clips for the 5 shelves included with the linen (should be 20) I bought the high line all wood cabinets with solid oak doors.

$2500 for 2 cabinets and I get mediocre ***. I have been waiting for 2 weeks now for a replacement for the blemished door and nearly that long for the clips.

I repaired the cracked doors as I truly do not think I would get anything particularly better as replacements and I need to refinish anyway. Can not believe I am refinishing brand new cabinets:(

It is amazing that I entered this over 5 years ago and the same things continue to happen. It is also amazing that they still get any orders after reading information like this. At past count, there are over 50 sites with similar stories about Thomasville and the lack of quality / customer service.

I believe Home Depot likes to celebrate the company with the woest customer service in kitchen cabinets since they pretty own Thomasville brand. They should not be in the kitchen design business since they know nothing about design.

When I prtested the wrong-doings including the Thanksgiving and Christmas time we will have no kitchen until possibly their new replacements arrive, the manager became aggitated and nasty. Atlanta is just as bad, if you think they would do something about your problems. They will cancel your order and charge you a restocking fee. That is the best they will do.

This company should just sell hammers and nails and such and stay out of custom design. What a pathetic joke they are!

I had a similar experience. I bought over $26,000.00 of Thomasville cabinets and about 50% were defective, either unfinished surface, defective paint or bowed front door frames as I had lots of glass doors on the wall cabinets.

The Home Depot managet was sarcastic and derrogatory and did absolutely nothing. The designer, George Brainard in danville, CA designed a cabinet that was two inches short and two inches too narrow to accomodate our microwave and warming ovens. His response was non existant. He did not even apologize for ruining our kitchen for his miscalculation and design.

All the wall cabinets missed the finish side veneers and the fluuting was half inch short of the cabibet it was attached to! Home Depot refused to put us in touch with the Thomasviule Rep. It is Thanksgiving now and our kitchen has been torn apart for 4 weeks and the contractor stopped working on it since he could not get ahead as so many pieces were missing or defective.

It has been an absolute nightmere with no end in sight.

well! another completely dissatisfied customer for Thomasville cabinets.

they need to stop hiring sales reps and start hiring cabinet makers.

and not for $5.50an hr. how many vp's do they need anyway lmao.

When you purchased your cabinets in November and were told a lead time of 4 weeks did you consider that (and this is when ordering from anywhere)lead times are business days/weeks. This would mean that when a company shuts down for a holiday such as Thanksgiving or Christmas (or probably bith in your case)that this time is not considered part of your shipping lead.

More than likley your cabinets were in on time...your just an *** with unrealistic expectations. :p

Sounds like you work for Thomasville or someone who does their job as half-assed as them. We were given dates not days.

Keep up the *** You will be just as unemployed as the salesman who tried to tell me I expected too much.

For people like you, unrealistic expectations is code for 'can't deliver on time'. Keep up the *** work, loser.

I agree with you. Thomasville is made by masterbrand in Grandspass Oregon.

They are squeezed by Home Depot so tightly that they dont care. they just try to put out a cabinet and they probably hire the most unskilled laborers. As I said, The paint was not even covering the entire surface of the cabinets. The maple was showing from underneath in certain areas on the front wall cabinet door frames.

I have both custom made cabinets and Fieldstone cabinetry and none are nearly as poor a quality. These cabinets are the lowest quality with mid-upper prices. The dsigner was just a fake, want-to-be. There is absolutely no pride in the work.

The worst experience ever. Stay away from Thomasville and Home Depot cabinets if you want to keep your marriage and sanity.

We just picked up out Thomaville vanity. What a disappointment.

We went with the "higher" quality wood. The Drawers and slider are installed crooked. This is not a shipping flaw. The doors have pits and dings all over them.

This is not a wood variation. The back panel is fill of holes that should not be there?

it must had been a side piece for shelving that was re-purposed. I would not recommend Thomasville products.

as an installer for Home Depot I am often surprised by the unrealistic expectations of some consumers. First you should upgrade to all plywood construction instead of particle boar.

Second you should realize the limitations of wood products there will be variations in grain etc. Also since most lumber is new growth there are not many quality boards over 6" wide.

Many consumers need to do research and have realistic expectations if you have a beer budget do not expect champagne dreams

Yes Indeed, The Thomasville cabinets I ordered a poorly made, the finish is splotchy, and the drawer fronts are made of multiple pieces of wood glued together giving them an extremely ugly look. I plan on replacing the drawer fronts.

I've assisted dozens of clients with the selection, design and installation of the Thomasville cabinets from Home Depot and have of course received an occasional damaged item, but all in all I will continue to recommend them and believe they are perfectly fine cabinets at a reasonable price. I have had no complaints from any of my clients and understand that as with all the many different phases of construction there are hurdles to overcome and with the right person on the job it all works out fine.

We went to the Home depot and ordered Thomasville painted cabinets, We spent over 15,000.00 just on the cabinets. The cabinets came in and they look just like Plastic and they are Painted Maple, I hat them I waited my entire life for a new Kitchen and sew all theses Beautiful white Kitchens on line.

and ended up with thomasville, I was told they were top of the line. I ended up with cheap looking junk. Now they are being installed and it's costing me another 2,000.00 in labor and I'm beside myself.

Since we received the cabinets we have called and email several times and we haven't received a call back. It's a nightmare

Just got 25 Thomasville cabinets delivered on Tuesday, we were very excited to conclude this phase of our kitchen. That lasted until we opened the first box.

Cabinet construction is poor, carcase sides to not meet the top or bottom of the box. You can feel the metal staples along the sides of the inside of the cabinet. Thomasville rep came out to check and said that this was typical of Thomasville quality and fit within their specs. He offered to take back the order for a 15% restock fee.

I asked if he'd be happy with cabinets of this quality in his house and he would not answer the question. Stay away from Thomasville, they have a good name but bad products.

I just this month had Home Depot install Thomasville cherry cabinets. The quality of the cabinets is wonderful, the installation was done ver well and quickly.

I had to order another cabinet because Home Depot mismeasured--it came in less than the 2 weeks promised, and they ate the cost of the extra install because the mismeasure was their fault. We've been extremely happy with both Thomasville and Home Depot--particularly our designer at the store.

I purchased my Thomasville kitchen cabinets late last thru the Home Depot in Tewksbury, MA. The HD did the install but I had firsthand prior experience with the HD sub contracter that did the install so I knew the job would be done right.

My maple cabinets look fanatstic overall but I can see a slight flaw in the staining of the doors. I bought the cabinets based upon the Thomasville name.
