Verified ReviewerWorst product tracking ever
- Purchased a 24,000 BTU A/C in-store May 19.
- No shipping or tracking info; staff were unsure.
- Delivery dates changed; no A/C delivered; refund issued.
Bought 24000 BTU A/C on May 19, 2026. Paid for in-store.
Called the store several times trying to find shipping info. Nobody in the store knew where the A/C was. Nobody! Everybody said delivery was on June 2, though.
Called June 2 and still no A/C. Finally, a clerk said they found the shipper and the thing was on a truck, but they didn't know where. This was the ***, *** location. I never received shipping or tracking info.
They said they believed it would be there June 5th. I said, 'For sure?' They said they hoped so. I said, 'Refund my money,' which they did.
I will never order anything from this store again. They have serious supervision issues.
- Veteran discounts and appealing produsts
- Serious supervision and communication issues
Preferred solution: I want to hear from management.

- Door glass on stove arrived shattered.
- Home Depot said to order and pay for the replacement part from US Stoves, which isn't on US Stoves' site.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. Company refunded cost of replacement glass.
Still waiting for delivery. Be prepared to call several times.
Issue had to be escalated. No customer service takes you seriously the first 2 calls.
I ordered a wood stove and had it sent to the store. The very next day, I unboxed it and discovered the door glass was shattered.
I took it back, but Home Depot's solution was for me to order the part from the supplier (US Stoves).
So they expect me to pay for and install the parts they broke. Now I have a $600 piece of scrap because I can't find the replacement part on the US Stoves website.

Verified ReviewerUsing website reminds me of the dial-up days
- Site loads slowly; pages and images take ages to appear.
- The search is irrelevant and results feel dial-up.
This issue is nothing new but how long do us online shoppers have to deal with their antiquated and downright atrocious website AND their useless search? Let me start with the website itself.
Tortoise like speed of pages loading. Kinda like watching paint dry or corn stalks grow. Hair ripping frustration waiting for that little wheel to stop spinning. Yet even after that, the pictures appear only at Tortoise like speeds.
Eventually reaching the end of a page, and clicking on the next page number, the Tortoise again begins it's journey. But scrolling down the page about half was and not realizing that the pictures have yet to be updated yet, a whole new set of photos appears. Which means I have to scroll back to the top to see said updated photos. And that is just two pages in about 60 seconds.
60 seconds times, say 10 pages, is 10 minutes. And that's at best hoping the search shows relevant items. Now about that search. Can it be anymore IRRELEVENT?
It's like ordering cheeseburger and getting a chicken sandwich! One would think that a massive corporation like HD could afford top notch IT techs. Or maybe HD doesn't want to pay for top notch IT techs? It's either IT dummies or a cheap CFO.
HD's website brings back bad memories of the dark dial-up internet days. ![]()
- Too many to list
- Having to drive to store to find items
Preferred solution: Just fix your website.

Verified ReviewerDeplorable treatment of myself regarding an exhausting attempt to obtain a refund
- 3 ToeKicks at $57.51 each; $172.51 total.
- Delivery promised in 5 days, but delayed to Sep 23.
- Canceled Sep 15; refund promised, charged.
Only make purchases with a credit card. Credit card companies will often reverse payment when things like this happen.
Whereas debit card companies/banks may not. The Home Depot customer service employees did nothing but lie to me and tell me I was never charged.
Home Depot purported delivery would be made within 5 business days. Then I received an update that there were delivery issues with the ToeKicks, and they would not be ready until September 23rd. Far too late for me to complete the kitchen renovation, so on September 15th I cancelled the kicks inside of the Roseville, Michigan store and was verbally told that "$172.51 would be refunded in cash, but I need[ed] to give [Home Depot] about 24 hours to receive the refund from the merchant" (presumably Home Decorators Collection). I returned 2 days later and requested my refund.
The employee insisted she had already refunded my money (which did not happen with the ToeKicks, so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager then actually convinced me I was never charged, and that's why no refund was given. So I went about my very busy day, trusting his word that I wasn't charged. Several days later I opened up my credit card statement and discovered I WAS in fact charged for the ToeKicks I never received, so I went and called Home Depot customer service and inquired into where my refund was.
Home Depot connected my call to whom 8 believe was Home Decorators Collection, and after FIFTY minutes on the phone with them, they then convinced me they refunded the money to my credit card company (supposedly "on September 17th at 5:44om in the amount of $106.97".
So then I just spent another FORTY-SEVEN minutes on the phone with my credit card company (opening a dispute) after they confirmed no money was credited on the 17th of September.
Problem was Home Decorators, working hand in hand with Home Depot, convinced me I was only owed $106.97 (price of ToeKicks NOW at a 33% clearance), as opposed to what I actually paid for the ToeKicks on September 5th (which was $172.51+tax.
So I had to call my credit card company back yet again, wasting yet ANOTHER TWENTY-TWO minutes, merely trying to get my VERY HARD EARNED MONEY returned a full TEN days after cancelling my order.
The part that gets me is I spend thousands every week between my employees and myself, through four different pro-extea accounts, and this is the shady companies Home Depot has jumped into bed/partnership with???
If they'll screw me over, please understand they simply do NOT care about you, nor your families, and will just as quickly rip you off, and give you the run around, so let's all jump ship and see what Lowe's can do for us!
I've never wasted so much of my time/energy just to get what is mine rightfully returned.
I beg each and every person reading this to PLEASE copy and paste it to everyone you know who shoos at Home Depot.
Tell everyone to just pay close attention IF you go into Home Depot. If you're returning things, the employees and managers will lie right to your face.
- Wide assortment of materials and tools with convenient hours of operation
- Employees will look you in the eye and lie to your face
Preferred solution: I want nothing from them from here forward. I will restructure all of my purchases to come from any company other than Home Depot.
User's recommendation: If you don't have 4+ hours to waste with your credit card company, lying Home Depot employees, shady merchants in coo *** with Home Depot, wasted gas driving up to store locations to get answers, or hypertension (as I do) then shop somewhere else. This company has clearly gotten too big to where they don't value contractors spending thousands weekly; much less a soccer mom or DIYer purchasing things for around the house.

I received a woodstove i had ordered and sent to store. next day i found that the glass in the door was shattered.
I took the stove back THE DAY AFTER I PICKED IT UP, I was told i had to contact the supplier (US Stoves) and purchase the replacement.

- Customer visited the Salinas store to price patio doors.
- They were told to come at 1:30 for Monday sale; no one in department; the caller was off.
I had gone into your ***, *** store to get a price on patio doors. The salesman gave me a price and I left and was getting bids from a couple of other vendors.
I got a call the next day from the person who is in charge of that department telling me there was going to be a special sale starting on Monday and could I come in. I told him I would come by around 1:30 on Monday. I got there at 1:30 and there was no one in the department. I flagged down one of your employees to see if they could find someone, but he couldn't.
I stopped by the Pro Desk on my way out and they said the person who called me had the day off.
I made a special trip to meet with him and he no-showed me. I won't be back.

Subject: URGENT: Missed Jobsite Pickup No Resolution After Multiple Calls (Order #H3813-28****)
Dear Home Depot Customer Care,
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of service and communication regarding my scheduled jobsite pickup for Order #H3813-28****.
The pickup for the composite deck board was scheduled almost 10 days ago for today, May 5, between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Nobody showed up for the pickup, and I never received any update, call, or notification explaining the delay.
What is even more concerning is that I made multiple attempts to resolve this issue:
* I called the [GEOGRAPHIC_DATA] store several times throughout the day.
* Nobody properly addressed the concern or provided a clear answer.
* No one attempted to reschedule the pickup.
* I also contacted Home Depot customer care, but unfortunately no meaningful help or resolution was provided there either.
This has caused a major inconvenience, especially after waiting all day for a scheduled service that was never fulfilled.
I am respectfully requesting that this pickup be escalated immediately and rescheduled for the earliest possible date and time. Please have someone contact me urgently with a confirmed pickup plan instead of leaving this unresolved.
I would appreciate prompt action on this
Please help get this picked up ASAP.
Thank you

- Offshore support leads to poor online order service and long holds; no reimbursement for expensive orders and damaged items may be sent.
Offshoring at its worst in terms of training of online order customer service. They speak out of their *** and if you request a supervisor, you are put on hold indefinitely.
Very very risky for $$$ orders; because, unlike Amazon, they wont reimburse if you dont get it for any reason. Theyll send you damaged, repackaged items that, if in store, you wouldnt touch

Home Depot doesn't build air conditioners in the back of the store. They are at the mercy of the manufacturer and the trucking company.
Until it comes off the back of the truck on their loading dock there is no way they can give you a 100% accurate date it will be received.
This is true of any retail store you make a purchase from. All they can provide you is the information provided by the manufacturer, don't blame them if the dates change.
