With the current COVID-19 situation going on, one of our purchases has been delayed indefinitely. This is a $20000 installation that is being financed through Home Depot.
We called to see what could be done regarding the indefinite delay in regard to our 24 month 0% interest loan, because the timer is running out and the installation may be delayed for multiple months by their own admission.
They not only refused to place the order (and therefore the payments) on hold, but have also been extremely unhelpful. They have attempted to close the request ticket multiple times by lying about contacting us and finding a solution (we didn't receive a call by the correct department in the first place), have told us their hands are tied because our issue is with financing and not Home Depot (our contract is with Home Depot) and we must contact the financing department instead, and have refused to give us the direct line to the correct department and claiming its an internal number they cannot give to customers.
Home Depot customer care have done everything possible to prevent us from contacting the correct department.
User's recommendation: Find literally anyone else. Sales reps will try their best to make a sale and then stop answering phone calls and tell you to kick rocks. Steer clear.
