bought a 4 year plan from home depot. Compressor went out in July 2018.

After it was replaced the unit would stop cooing for an hour or two about every day. Several calls and one tech would not come out. Another came out and said he could not fix it if it was working when he arrived. Stopped working completely in December.

Tech replaced the board and left before it started cooling. 3 weeks later Jan 2019 still waiting for another tech to come.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $2100.

Why is your complaint about Home Depot? Home Depot doesn't provide the service.

Your complaint should be about the service plan company and how they provide service.

Home Depot is a retail store store that sells products and services. It is the responsibility of the manufacture of the product or the provider of the service to stand behind their products.

The protection plan is Home Depot protection plan. That is what they tell me every time I communicate with them.

"Thank you for choosing the Home Depot Protection plan" is the last thing they tell me. If Home depot doesn't want to associate with the service they sell they should not sell it or put their name on it.

I know a friend who has the Lowes protection plan, and when their tech came by they replaced all the parts it could have been to make sure it was fixed. Their dryer worked sometimes also.
