I am writing you as a last resort to get my problem with the Samsung suite of kitchen products resolved. I will start off by asking you, What is your name (Samsung) worth to you? Is is really worth the way that my family has been treated by your staff representing the Samsung name? My wife and I went into Home Depot and ordered the Samsung suite of appliances.
We received a 18 FEB 2017 delivery date. Everything was fine until that date. 18 FEB 2017. The delivery truck arrived about 1300 hrs.
The delivery guy called, I was ten minutes away at the store. When I arrived they had already started with unloading the items from the truck. I started to inspect the items on the street. The first thing that I noticed was there was a huge dent on the right (top) door.
I pointed it out to the delivery driver. I showed the driver the location of the kitchen. He went on to deliver and setup my kitchen. First - The delivery guy installed the over the range microwave - He got the microwave installed however he was unable to install the ventilation correctly.
He said it was no worry because he would return the next day with the correct part to finish the install. Second - The dishwasher install. The second delivery guy went under the sink cut a whole for the hosees (he left the sawdust under the sink) he hooked up the dishwasher, however. the electrical cord was about 2 centimeters short from reaching the outlet.
I told him I would go to home depot and get an extension cord (I really wanted this to work). By the time my wife returned with the power cord the two delivery guys were gone. When I connected the extension cord, turned on the dishwasher after about 20 minutes into the cycle it flashed an error code LC. i looked in the manual for the code and it recommend that the dishwasher be disconnected and that I contact the installer.
Third - The refrigerator. Well you already know that there were dents. It turns our there were two dents. One on the top right and the second on the lower left door.
I talked the delivery driver into leaving it in my home until the replacement was ordered. Fourth - The range. With everything that was going on with the other items I hadn’t noticed that he hooked up the range. After he left I noticed that he left the instruction manuals inside the over so I know it was not tested or it would have caught fire.
That was day one of my install. The rest of the days were spent calling Home Dept, Samsung and Premiere (the delivery company). There were too many lies and broken promises and who on first to keep up with. 25 FEB 2017 After countless calls to Home Depot and Samsung I got an agreement from Samsun that they would return the microwave, refrigerator, and the dishwasher.
I really wanted them to pick up the range as well but they refused. Home Depot informed me that If I returned the range to them I would have to pay $135.00 restocking fee. Premiere came out to pick up the kitchen items and observed that the dishwasher, stove and microwave was still connected and refuse remove the items. No one during any conversation I had before hand mentioned that I had to disconnect the items.
I called Samsung again. Spoke with a very unprofessional representative who lied to me. Spoke with a very condescending supervisor who made me feel that this was all my fault and lied to me. So I ask you again.
What’s in a name. Do you guys want to be the one’s that bring good thing to lite (General Electric’s slogan) or Do you want this as your reputation. During all me my calls to Home Depot and Premiere. One name came up.
Samsung. What’s your slogan. To right this - you can send someone out to my home to disconnect all items. Afterwards send Premiere to pick the items up.
That would satisfy me. To restore your name - redeliver all new kitchen items. Install them properly. That would impress me.
To show your employees what you name means - Install my kitchen with upgraded top of the line kitchen products free of charge. Train your employees. I would feel warm inside and all will be forgiven.
