Let me start out this review by saying I'm a disabled veteran living in a camper on a fixed income with my unemployed wife. The day after Thanksgiving our primary cooking appliance, a convection microwave broke.

On November 29th we went to the Home Depot in Kingman Arizona to order a new one. We ordered a Kitchenaid model KMHC319ESS for almost$700. Did I mention a fixed income? Original delivery date was set for December 4th.

A few days prior to the delivery date I received a computerized phone call staying that delivery was postponed until December 18. We went to the store and an employee there told us they didn't understand the delay as there were over 80 in available according to their system. Fast forward to the 18th, and delivery is again postponed to December 26th, after Christmas. Did I mention this was our primary cooking appliance?

Day after Christmas my wife calls the Home Depot in Kingman Arizona, and they now say delivery postponed until January 2nd. Customer service this time states that according to their system the have over 120 available for shipment.

We have been without our primary cooking appliance for over a month. I am telling anybody and everybody who's will listen, DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM THE HOME DEPOT IN KINGMAN ARIZONA.

Thank you.

User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM THE HOME DEPOT IN KINGMAN ARIZONA.

Monetary Loss: $700.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.

while i can offer a thank you for your service why do you feel the need to put that out that you are a vet and disabled as well as your wife? it makes your complaint seem as if you're trying to get a sympathy factor into it.

it should apply to ANYONE that is unhappy with their delivery of a purchase not just a vet and a disabled one at that. and to answer your other questions yes you DID mention you're on a fixed income which also should not matter it should be the same for anyone. yes it's awful you didn't receive it when you were supposed to but you also have to remember when you ordered it is during one of if not THE most busiest shipping times of the year and these delays can/do happen all the time not just to disabled vets on a fixed income. also to answer another question YES you did mention it was your primary cooking means but i know many people who live in campers and have a backup for JUST such an occasion.

so while yet it sucks you didn't get it when you were supposed to. it WAS one of the busiest shopping times of the year and also you could have had yourself a backup previously as i know people again who live in campers and have a main source and backup so they're covered.
