My wife and I ordered kitchen cabinets for our new kitchen I'm in the process of installing them and after unpacking them we have found damage on them know we have to wait for the replacement cabinets. The store need to inspect orders that they received and make sure there isn't damage to the merchandise before contacting the customer I'm not happy .

Know it's going to be 2 to 4 weeks before I can finish the kitchen . know it's going to cost me the rental of the in closed trailer but the full and time off from work.

And know it's going to be two more months before the counter top can be installed. I would like to add photos but it will not let me if not one thing it's another Mike Hammer email is hammerhalftme@***.com

If they took the cabinets out of the boxes and inspected them for damage you would complain that they were open and want a discount. Having been involved with kitchen cabinets for over 40 years I can tell you it is not uncommon to expect some damage when you are buying box cabinets.

The just get handled too many times before they get installed. Stores will usually catch obvious damage to the boxes but often you will still find a damaged cabinet in a box that doesn't show damage. Even if they were inspected before they were loaded on the final delivery truck they could be damaged in the delivery process or just as likely at the job site. In many cases the damage can be hidden or repaired on the job site.

Fortunately most manufacturers will ship replacements, if needed quicker than the time the original order took but you have to understand they aren't sitting in a warehouse and have to be built to your order. This happens wherever you buy box cabinets, Home Depot, Lowes, Menards or other stores.

If you want to avoid this have a local custom shop built and install your cabinets. When you buy box cabinets there are just too many pieces and people handling them to expect perfection with every order....just a fact of life.
