Home Depot - Ice cubes freeze to a block in 3 days & veggies freeze in crisper
Worst refrigerator ever.. 2 weeks after purchase - Home Depot said they cannot help - contact GE..
Home Depot said they have a time limit of 2 days. After 4 service trips from GE - Home Depot said they would try to help (store mgr. - Avon) & they never got back to me. It took 6 service calls, 5 part replacements & almost 6 months of my persistence to finally get the problems fixed.
This may help others: changing a piece of duct from the freezer to the refrigerator fixed the freezing crisper...Changing the mother board fixed the ice freezing into a block.. GEs response to my emails & calls was always a line from a book - if a customer says this - say this!
GE & HOME DEPOT ARE OFF MY LIST!
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Home Depot Cons: 2 days and not following up.
Location: Avon Lake, Ohio

The Home Depot sells merchandise produce by other companies, so generally speaking, the best course is to contact the manufacturer. In this case I'd say the complaint is more toward GE than to Home Depot, though I agree HD customer service generally sucks... and I work there!
You won't find a lot of difference with the other appliance manufacturers. If the problem is not an initial failure (that is why they have a short time frame to get credit from the manufacturer) the warranty provided by the manufacturer calls for repair, not replacement. Don't blame the stores, they don't are not responsible for the warranty, the manufacturer is.
I "blame" the store for not getting back to me after they said they would try to help!
