I just purchased a brand new washer and dryer yesterday. With all the bells and whistles and taxes it came to $1,750.

The problem is I won't even see this until two full months from now (October 15th, 2016). The waiting is not the worst part of this.

What is worse is that I was charged now rather than on the day the washer and dryer actually ships to me. AND on top of that they are running the clock on my one-year warranty starting NOW instead of waiting until I have it delivered.

That of course is B.S.

You know what Home Depot tells me after confiscating the interest on money I spent but will have nothing to show for 2 months, plus confiscating two months of my warranty?

They tell me to buy an extended warranty!!!

What a load of ***!!!

They should do something for me rather than telling me to lump it.

HOW ABOUT HOME DEPOT HIRE MORE DELIVERY DRIVERS???

Reason of review: two month delay, lost interest & lost warranty.

Monetary Loss: $20.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Home Depot Pros: Price.

Home Depot Cons: Paying 2 months in advance of delivery, Losing 2 months of warranty, Excuse for two month delivery delay.

Location: Lafayette, Colorado

How are they cheating you out of 2 months of interest? You knew up front, before you went to the register that it would take 2 months to get your washer and dryer.

If you didn't feel this was fair you didn't need to make the purchase. Better yet pay cash or use a Home Depot credit card and you would have had at least 6 months of no interest financing.

I assume you have purchased LG or Samsung products that are being shipped from Korea. Yes, you will be charged for the product at the date of purchase but make sure you get a delivery receipt showing the date of delivery of the appliances.

The manufactures provide the warranty, not the store.

Your delivery receipt will show when you were given possession of the machines and should be the start date of the warranty. Contact the manufacturer, not the store for questions on the warranty.
