Home Depot cabinet refacing worst decision for kitchen remodel.
Everything seemed easy at first. The Home Depot representative came and showed great color options and made my new kitchen sound wonderful.
It went downhill from there. The refacing/ remodel took over 3 months to complete because of poor workmenship. The refacing cracked and peeled off and had to be replaced twice. The doors and drawers were measured incorrectly, didnโt fit, and had to be reordered twice.
My backsplash and countertop are beautiful but the hole in my living room wall where they accedently punched through the wall behind my couch was disturbing to find much later.
Now, two years later, my refacing is cracking and peeling off again. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON HOME DEPOT CABINET REFACING!!!
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Home Depot Pros: Beautiful backsplash and countertop.
Home Depot Cons: Promises were not kept, I felt we got charged and our time wasted.

It really doesn't make a lot of difference who does the cabinet refacing, it is often not the best way to go. For close to the same price you can totally replace your cabinets.
When you reface your cabinets you are just putting a covering over your old cabinets.
If you replace your cabinets you have totally new products as well as being able to reconfigure your cabinet layout to be more efficient. Spend a little more and get a totally new kitchen.
Sometimes there are specific reasons people want to reface a cabinet instead of replace. My parentโs cabinet refacing from another company was very well done.
She didnโt want to replace the cabinet boxes because they were original, well-constructed, built right onto the wall instead of hanging by screws.
There refacing also cost much lower than the cost of new cabinets. Itโs not for you to question what someone wants.
