Home Depot - Excessive truck rental charge.
I live 2.5 KM from the nearest Home Depot. I needed to transport some drywall sheets from Home Depot to my home.
They offered delivery @ $60 or a 90 minute truck rental for $25. So I opted for the truck rental. I was there and back in less than 25 minutes and I drove a total of 5 KM. It seemed silly to stop and gas up the truck as the needle didn't move.
I thought I would pay them for the gas used like any other rental car company. I was charged $25 for that infinitesimally small amount of gas.
There was no reasoning with the counter agent as 'the rules are the rules'. After years of shopping there and spending thousands of dollars, I am done.
Reason of review: Pricing issue.

They don't have gas pumps at Home Depot. They have to send someone to a gas station to fill the truck.
You are paying for the gas and for someone to go fill it up as well as loss of use of the truck while it is gone. Not their fault you didn't fill the tank per your agreement.
