New ReviewerI chose Home Depot to install my new carpet because their ads said they move furniture. I got a contract from them and their subcontractor.
I read all the fine print. They do not move piano's, etc. I complied with all their rules. I asked the local Home Depot guy in the carpet department if they would move furniture downstairs because the carpet was for a bonus room upstairs.
It is the only room up there and there is no place to move the furniture except downstairs. He said yes. The day of the install the installer looked around & said they would not move the furniture downstairs. I had to call a moving company and pay them $270 to move the furniture downstairs.
I called customer service to tell them. She said she would talk to her manager and get back with me. She never called back, Every time I called, I was transferred to her voice mail. I was going to save myself some money by ripping up the old carpet myself, but H.P.
never got back with me and I don't know if they would make an adjustment on the price or not so I didn't bother.
I am not happy with H.D. customer service.
