Right off the bat the delivery men were rude, hostile, and aggressive no absolutely no reason. I had purchased a 5 burner slide-in GE range from Home Depot.

The specs GE gave on the height of the range were 39 inches. Standard counter depth is 37 inches, so I figured we could lower the feet and all would be well. Wrong. GE messed up.

The height of the range with the feet fully extended is 36 and 1/2 inches. That's right -a 1/2 inch lower than the countertop. We find this out when TEMCO shows up and tells us it won't fit and by the way even though we paid for installation, they don't install ranges. I later found out from Home depot that they say this to all the customers who paid for installation.

My husband and I told him to double check the measurements before uninstalling our current range. He refused. He took out our old range and moved it to the street. Then he completely unpacked the new one and brought it up the walkway.

He measured the height with the legs fully extended and it was still 36 1/2. We told him we needed to refuse delivery. He got very angry and said he would make it fit. Jose and his friend who spoke no English and didn't introduce himself brought in the stove and shoved it into the spot in spite of my husband telling him not to install it.

The range was hanging off the counter by the 1/4 inch lip that overlaps the counter. The stove was actually dangling off the ground and the feet of the stove not only didn't touch the ground, they fell out. We told them this would not work and to remove the range because we were refusing delivery. He started raising his voice at me and speaking to me half in Spanish and half in English.

I have no idea what he was trying to communicate to me since I couldn't understand him. We weren't upset with him because the range was the wrong measurement, so why was he so mad at us? Then he brought in a little piece of wood that he said he was going to shove under the back feet so that it would clear the countertop. A sloping range isn't going to work.

And propping up a wobbly gas appliance isn't safe in earthquake country. We again refused delivery, told him we wouldn't sign the paper, and to remove the stove and put ours back. He threw his metal tools including a heavy drill on the stove top thereby scratching and dinging it and moved it out. He said we had to bring in our old stove by ourselves.

We called Home Depot. He had to bring the stove back in but he refused to hook it up. He scratched up and chipped the finish on our stove and left us with the smell of leaking gas. Then he didn't want to give us a copy of the form where we wrote "refused delivery." I told him I'd make a scanned copy myself and he finally let me have the yellow copy that was mine in the first place.

Called Home Depot and spoke to Sophia and asked her to credit our account. She said she would credit it Monday (today was Sat.) and call us with resolution for this incident. She said that GE is the one that uses Temco and that Home Depot can't do anything about it. Really?

I have a solution. I won't buy GE products any more. No phone call from Home Depot all week. Tempo called Thurs and left a message that they were coming Friday to delivery the range.

What?? Do they think it suddenly grew? I called Home Depot and spoke to Fernando. Home Depot hadn't credited my account yet, but said they would do so the following Monday after the item was returned to stock (it hadn't been returned to stock in over a week??) and they would call GE and have them tell TEMCO not to show up.

Tempo showed up anyway on Friday. I wasn't home but my neighbor caught the delivery guy peeking in my windows and called me immediately. So *** I called Home Depot again. They said they would handle it, but they dropped the ball again.

The following Wed I call Home Depot and talk to Julie. They still haven't credited my account and Temco has called again to say they were delivering the range on Thursday. Julie at Home Depot says she would call GE and get it straightened out and that Home Depot would credit my account by the following Monday (if you're keeping track, we bought the item mid July and it's now the end of August). She asked for my private cell phone number so she could call me back to confirm.

Instead, I get a call from Temco on my private number. Why did she give them my private number without my permission? I called the store that night and by this time I don't care who I'm speaking with. They said they would have GE cancel the order.

Julie calls Thursday morning and says she spoke to GE and they cancelled the order Wednesday night. Who do you think shows up at my door an hour later? That's right. Temco.

I didn't answer the door and I now keep the blinds closed in the front of the house even if I'm home. The guy rang a couple of times and left several phone messages. I'm not calling them back. What's the point?

With so many bad reviews they aren't changing their behavior. And by the way, I am kicking myself for buying another GE appliance in the first place since the refrigerator I bought from them 9 years ago actually caught fire from the inside of the fridge and I had to disconnect it -- the freezer was hot to the touch and smoking (Thank goodness I was home when it happened or the entire house would have burned down.). To date Home depot still hasn't credited my account. I won't buy GE ever again.

I would have thought that after all this trouble, Home Depot would be bending over backward to keep me as a client (like offering a discount on a different brand of stove) because I have bought many appliances from them but they haven't offered me diddly squat.

For now I'm living with my current range. It isn't fancy but it works.

Reason of review: poor cs, delivery problem, product specs wrong, damage to current stove by delivery people.

Monetary Loss: $500.

Preferred solution: full refund for refused stove, partial refund on fridge we did accept, GE to pay for fixing my range that their delivery people damaged.

Home Depot Pros: It was easy to initially purchase, Service at the store.

Home Depot Cons: Install service, No staff to help customers, No follow through to resolve my problem.

Location: Redwood City, California

Today, 10/19/19, my dishwasher was supposed to be delivered by timco between 12 and 4pm. They showed up around 2:30 PM.

I heard the truck pull up so I went out and introduced myself. The guy said hello I'm so and so. He asked where the old dishwasher was and showed him inside the kitchen. He asked me if I could turn off the power.

I said ok and I turned it off. He started taking some screws out. Then he and another guy went back to get the new dishwasher out of the truck. That's when he came back to me and ask if i could take a look at how the frame was bent on the dishwasher.

At that point i rejected the dishwasher. I was so pissed off. I wasted my whole day waiting for these people to show up. Why didn't they see this when they loaded the dishwasher.

They must of damaged it when they loaded it onto the truck. Now I am getting my money back for everything.

I will never use home depot and their installers ever again. It should of never happened if it would have been transported in the upright position.

I question you being told Home Depot has no control over who delivers the appliance. Make sure you are not charged for the GE range and if you really want a new range then wander over to your local Lowe's and get one.

They usually deliver and set up for free and their delivery guys work for Lowe's, not some contracted outfit employing foreigners with limited English skills. As always with appliances just get the basic, no bells and whistles model so when it breaks you can just throw it out and buy a new one.

And, make sure you don't buy any extended warranty as they are useless and just make money for the seller and the warranty company. Good luck
