It's obvious Home Depot does not care about its customers.

I bought a Samsung 22.6 cu. ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator

It's pretty but that's about it. The shelves and door shelves are way too small for regular sized items.

Also, nowhere on the website does it tell you that you actually need a space that is 40 inches wide so you can open the doors. I did not learn this until after they dropped it off (in the middle of my kitchen) and left. They did not unpack it or push it into its location, so I was unpleasantly surprised after I took off all the wrapping, figured out how to install the shelves, pushed it back into position and couldn't open the doors. I called Home Depot within an hour of the fridge being dropped off and they told me they would not take it back and there is nothing I can do about it.

Now I'm out $3,000 and have a fridge in the middle of my kitchen. The only hope I have of making it fit is to either tear out a wall or tear my upper cabinets off and cut my granite counter top by 3 inches.

Thanks for nothing Home Depot

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $2825.

Preferred solution: Let me return it and buy one that actually fits.

So you expected the DELIVERY company to INSTALL your fridge? You're special, aren't you?

I paid for delivery and installation, so, yes, I expected the delivery company to install the fridge.

Agree. I would not have signed accepted unless they completed the delivery.

On home delivery of refrigerators, that includes installation.

Installation is simply unpacking it, plugging it in, and hooking up the ice maker line. Not like installing a dishwasher or microwave.

Didn't you bother looking at the displays in the store? It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the doors won't fully open if placed next to a wall.

I expect you were told as I was when I ordered my appliances from them that they were not returnable. Why do consumers think that stores should take back anything they order?

Stores don't have unlimited space to store and display items customers decide they don't want. A responsible consumer would make sure products they order not only fit their needs but also their space BEFORE placing an order.

I bought the fridge online. I measured my space three times to make sure there was enough room per the dimensions.

My issue is that the Home Depot web page for this product that I relied on for the measurements did not say anything about needing 40 inches. The delivery person dropped it off and left without unwrapping it so I had no way of knowing it wasn't going to fit until I finished the job he was supposed to do. Once I realized the dimensions were not as stated on Home Depot's page, I immediately called them.

They assured me they would take care of it (because they checked the page and agreed that the measurements were inaccurate). Today they called and said they would not return it.This is not irresponsibility on my part, it is gross misrepresentation of the facts I needed to make an informed decision.ge here

This is a good example of exactly why you shouldn't make a major purchase like this online without having looked at displays. Take time to go into a store and look at the displays.

You can't tell much about the shelves or bins in a refrigerator looking at pictures on your computer.

If you were standing there in the store opening the refrigerator doors you would plainly see that the doors won't open fully if they are next to a wall. It seems like spending a little time in a store making sure the product is what you want before spending thousands of dollars on something you aren't happy with would be time well spent.

I just ordered this fridge from Costco. 90 day return policy.

My space is 37 inches. I realized I would need to leave it partially out in the gallery walkway. My larger Whirlpool has been in the galley walkway since we bought that. Compounding the problem, we have a wall extending 5 inches out.

A 33 inch would have worked perfectly. We did not like those choices. So we voluntarily spent more money for a counter depth refrigerator, even though it will still be out in the walkway. It wonโ€™t overpower the kitchen.

We looked at many new refrigerators. Every single one in the $2000 plus price range has this same issue. Nice refrigerators have deep hdoors. We decided that we would rather have this attractive refrigerator, even though it meant it would stick out into the galley walkway.

We also decided we could live with the ice maker issues, so many people complain about. We do have a 7 year warranty. Two by Samsung, through Costco. Three more by Square Trade.

Two more by using our Costco Citicard. Our total extended warranty cost was $119, for the Square Trade portion. Iโ€™m looking at this thread because I did order, but have not yet received, a Kitchenaid Microwave from HD., not available through Costco. After reading these blogs, I will never again order an appliance from HD.

Will never spend another penny there. I may never have an issue, but who needs this garbage.
