Home Depot - Bad service and lack of promise on carpet delivery
I placed an order for carpet 3 weeks ago. All went fine with the measurecomp, though they called 3 times in one day for a payment.
I stated I had a discount coupon to use and they asked I go to the store to pay. I did this 11 days ago and paid in full. I call the store today only to find out my carpet was just shipped. I have no idea what went on the past week and a half but I certainly was not prepared for the delays.
I spoke to Nikki, the manager on duty, at the local store on Germann and Gilbert Rd in chandler AZ and she stated she is sorry there is nothing she can do. I almost wish they hadn't shipped today so I could just cancel. I did not expect to be treated this way since I purchased my washer, dryer, fridge, new tile and supplies at Home Depot....I'm not sure I will be able to walk in the store again.

I had a similar problem. Home Depot gives us a quote then on the day of the install they call my wife and tell her they underestimated the cost of the project.
Want to charge us 210.00 more. She doesn't know what to do as she is basically held hostage looking at the installers that won't move ahead. So she says ok. Of course we paid everything up front.
Since then I have be hounded to *** by a woman calling from Home Depot trying to collect the $210.00.
This has me really angry and I want to tell everyone out there about this. It's was a horrible experience with a poor install to boot.
Consider yourself lucky if they actually installed it properly. We ended up with a mess left in our garage and carpet so loose that the vacuum sucks the whole carpet up.
They also realized that they had taken a piece of art off the wall and broke off a piece of it.
NEVER WILL ANY OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY ENTER A HOME DEPOT. They are simple put, dishonest.
