Credit card

Trying to keep account from going onto collections. Unemployed now and the interest added to the account has taken me over the limit. I need a solution. Refinance the account. Increase credit limit, or drop some of the interest to get this account in food standing.

It is unfortunate that you are unemployed but that doesn't change the terms of the credit agreement you signed. Don't complain that they are keeping up with their side of your agreement even though you are not keeping up with yours.

Don't buy carpet from Home Depot!! The product is beautiful but the installation subs are more than lazy and certainly not helpful. When the installers arrived they said I wasn't ready

When the installers arrived they said I wasn't ready; they took pictures of a storage cabinet and armoire that still had the draws full. Also, they said I had to have all the electronics disconnected.

I've lived in this house for 55 years and have had the carpet replaced at least five times. Never have I had to do this.I removed the tech wires but they said I wasn't ready and left me FOR 2 WEEKS WITH ALL MY FURNITURE OUT ON THE PORCH, PATIO IN THE KITCHEN; WE COULDN'T MOVE OR USE THE KITCHEN FOR TWO FULL WEEKS!! I told the installers that when I have had the carpet replaced the installers just tied the handles on the armoire and storage unit and tilted them and put them on a dolly. There was no other place to put the draws to empty them.

They said they didn't do that!!! We are both 76 years old not in good health; back problems and knee surgeries. We did just what I had asked the installers to do; tied the handles and leaned the item to one side and slid dollies under them and rolled them.to a hallway that was completely stuffed with other pieces I had already moved. We had to go outside, climb over the items completely stuffed in the kitchen, climb over them, to get to the bathroom!!!

This was the way they left us for two full weeks!!!. I called Homedepot corporate offices; they gave me a inquiry # but no one ever contacted me. The next set of installers were very helpful and professional; TWO WEEKS LATER!!!!. The carpet is now installed and it is beautiful but when I tried to vacuum it the rollers didn't work.

I took the vac in for repair $124 later, I took it home and it still didn't work. The vacuum store said it was the Plush, High Pile and they tried every vacuum in the shop, nothing worked. I contacted the mfg., MOHAWK, They recommended a vacuum that would work, $500 later I now have another high dollar vacuum; this one comes with no attachment, can only be used for the carpet only. The sales people never explained to me that the installation of this carpet would require me to buy this very expensive vac.

As I stated, the carpet is now installed; I'm very pleased with the carpet itself but enormously displeased that no one told me about having to buy a new vac; and such an expensive one at that, I would have selected a different carpet. I had no choice but to buy the new vac.

Nothing is wrong with my own high dollar vac I already have. There has to be some kind of law that protects us from falling victim to this kind of salesmanship!!???

Open the boxes before you buy!!

My husband purchased a Milwaukee heated jacket for our son for Christmas. Paid $200 for this! Picture it, Christmas morning my boys are excited to open their gifts. My son tears off the wrapping paper and flashed a smile that went from ear to ear!! When he opens the sealed box, we find a junky sweat jacket and in a smaller box that should have held a charger, was 3 C batteries wrapped in plastic!!! My heart sank and my husband was instantly pissed!! Unfortunately, he has been unable to find the receipt and to make matters worse, he paid cash. In spite of this, he took the box with the junk back to HD to see what, if anything could be done to rectify. Even just to warn them that if a product is returned, they are responsible to check and make sure the item is correct and intact. Of course they said nothing could be done, but to come back the next day and maybe the assistant manager would give him a $50 gift card!! Umm, no thanks!!! Well be canceling our HD cc and taking our business elsewhere!!

Hold on sorry. Had to stop laughing!! Ok where you went wrong. Firstly, you always check the purchase BEFORE you buy it.

If it’s a completely sealed box you’re probably going to be ok. If it’s not sealed then check it to be sure. Secondly, you didn’t open the box. When you wrap presents you ALWAYS ensure the item is in said box.

Thirdly, you ALWAYS keep your receipt!! For at least three months. Now to help assist you. You need to go into the store.

Act like an adult. And speak calmly and without attitude. Speak with the head of LP or see if the manager can help you. It sounds like a simple box swap scam.

Which if your hubby didn’t do the scamming themselves should at least reveal the actual person who did it. The manager can watch the tapes for the hour your hubby was in the store and should have a general idea of what time he made his purchase. There by being able to pull your receipt up by item, date, and time. You make it sound like this is ALL THEIR FAULT.

And that’s just not true. You failed on three separate occasions in this situation and they only failed once. And they failed due to a thief and NOT intentionally sabotaging the product. Remember that once your super white entitlement passes that they are victims as well.

They are a victim of the thief who did that and then they are a victim of yours. Not only did they lose a expensive jacket but they have to make right on some level provided the work is done. You think MAYBE your white privilege may be blinding you to some of those facts in order that you play the best victim possible?

No ppl like you and your husband will spend hundreds on a jacket yet NOT give any benefit of doubt to someone who is going to be victimized twice. No they do NOT have insurance for thieves.

He should have just purchased a jacket from the Salvation Army of Goodwill. That way he would have known what he was getting and he would have been helping out a well deserving charity at the same time.

Are you kidding me? Why would you expect any store to exchange or give you refund for something like this when you can't prove you purchased it from them?

These are expensive jackets that come with a warranty.

Most people would have at least saved the receipt just for warranty purposes. Rather than blaming Home Depot you should take responsibility for not hanging on to your receipt.

Because the carpet sales staff assured me several times that home depot have the11% rebate, I chose to buy their carpet and pads. Several times they told me it all qualified, one even did the math to shore i would get back over$200 on an $1850 order. After waiting over 3 months i finally get a rebate card for $25.90. The"customer service" informed me i should have checked their website for"excluded items" which apparently is everything that costs very much! Store management will do nothing, corporate will do nothing, so DON'T trust the 11% unless you get it in writing that what you but will qualify!

They do put it in writing. It is right on the form you submit.

I take it you purchased carpet that wasn't in stock. Had you bothered reading the form you would have known carpet they had to order wouldn't qualify.

My Samsung refrigerator stopped cooling in early November 2019. A repair technician came and repaired it, but it stopped cooling again. The repair technician came a second time and repaired it, but it stopped working a second time. A third repair technician came and repaired it, but it stopped working again. Today is January 3rd 2020 and again I am without a working refrigerator. My husband who is a veteran and served in the military and my family are at risk for food poisoning. I have made several request to have the refrigerator replaced, as it is financially difficult having to buy our meals. As of today we are still struggling with a refrigerator that is not working. I want Home DEPOT to honor the Protection Plan we paid for and replace the refrigerator.

What does you husband being a vet have to do with this complaint? If you are going to wave the flag, why did you purchase a Korean made refrigerator rather than a refrigerator made in the United States?

You don't complain about the quality of the product, just that it isn't being quickly replaced by a service plan. Next time think twice before buying a foreign made appliance rather than a product made here with a stronger repair and parts system in place.

Most Whirlpool brands are manufactured in the US, as are many Frigidaire, GE and others. It isn't hard to find an appliance manufactured in the US. Just ask your salesperson and they can tell you which are made here and which are imported.

Not to mention. That they caused my furniture to not be allowed to be delivered because of waiting so long for solution and loss of money on my furniture for restock fee.

I ordered carpet over 2 months ago and they installed the wrong carpet. When the installer scheduled to install correct carpet they said they wont be moving furniture. I called home depot and manager said he would put in a work order to move because its thier fault and that someone would call me back to confirm. Never recieved call. Over 2 months later they come to install carpet and installer says he will not move furniture so I called home depot and they said someone would have to call me back. Worst customer service ever and making a customer wait for install because of your mistake is ridiculous. Sad because I have been a customer for years and now I will never shop there again!!!

Home Depot - 11% Rebate center

I called to find out if I could get 11% off of gift card because I had to buy a fairly large one. I sent a picture of the conversation and from the conversation it looked like it was okay as long as it had a 14 digit number. Well they lied I bought it and they said oh I'm sorry you can't do that maybe they need to teach their employees the rules and regulations ugh!

They just lost my sale on the cabinets I was picking out to go with my new appliances

Where do they specifically say they will give you an 11% rebate on a gift card. All it says is that if your receipt has a 14 digit number that you can apply for a rebate, not that you will receive one.

If you bother to look at the rebate it tells you that gift cards are not included. Why are you running off to Menards?

Have you bothered looking at their rebate forms? If you do you will see that gift cards are not included in their rebate either.

Re-read the conversation you posted. Their online staff said you could apply for the rebate, not that it would qualify for the rebate. Part of applying for the rebate is agreeing to the terms of the rebate which specifically excludes gift cards just like the Menards rebate they are matching.

We ordered a washer and dryer, took off from work to accept the delivery which was between 1:30 and 5 pm at 10 minutes after 5 the truck called and canceled the delivery. After calling Home Depot they did not even try to compensate us for our inconvenienc,we cancelled the order and will never order anything from them again. We just reordered from PC Richard and got the identical units cheaper. WIN WIN learned a lesson and saved money

Can't get appliances installed

My appliances were delivered 3 weeks ago. After receiving no calls regarding installation I called HD customer service and was provided with two numbers to call to schedule installation - one for dishwasher and microwave - a second for the refrigerator and range. I had to call both. Microwave and dishwasher have been installed. I had a no show for the refrigerator and range. When I called HD they transferred me around several times, put me on hold and after 45 minutes I was disconnected. I received no call back. It is now three days later and no call back. POOR customer service. I may have gotten a great deal on appliances Black Friday but it is now after New Years and two of the four appliances remain in my garage uninstalled.

Always a jerk job at Home Depot regarding the 10% Veterans discount.....no problem on Nuts & bolt type items but the bigger items are always exempt.... Lowes give 10% with a price match and nothing is excluded...Not even sale items..... Home Depot advertising denies and lies regarding this Insult to veterans...... Bye Bye

It's obvious you haven't looked at the reviews from vets crying about their discounts on the Lowes board. Stores should just quit giving discounts to vets altogether as it seems like vets don't seem to appreciate the fact that they are given discounts at all.

I agree with your comment but if you are going to give a Vet a discount then it should be to all bets not selective like they do in Puerto Rico. No consistent policy at all.

In PR the max discount is $50 no matter how much you spent. Bet they don’t do that to US Vet to include Hawaii and Alaska

Behr Paint Rebates Not Sent

On 5/19/2019 I applied online for a $20 rebate on 2 cans of Behr Stain (their best). I kept checking online to see the status and it simply read "being processed." I gave up and did not check it for 3 months. On December 10, 2019 I called up the online tracking site and it said a refund was issued in June 2019. I called the Customer Service number 1-86*-451-**** and the representative again said it was issued. I told her I did not receive and please check. She told me the card was never redeemed and is sending a replacement. You begin to question what is really going on with these rebates. What happens to all of this rebate money that people don't track? Alan

Maybe that gentleman was Autistic and couldn't speak. I've had people like that who picked me up hitch-hiking before.

They'd stop and pick me up. I'd tell them where I was going and they would just take off down the road and not answer any of my questions or say anything. I was scared to death and thought that they were going to try to murder me or even worse, and when they finally stopped and let me out I was so relieved. Once, one of these people responded "I'm a police officer" when I kept trying to make small talk and he wouldn't answer.

Like that was supposed to make me feel less scared.

A real police officer would have been wanting to ask me all kinds of questions. I know how you feel with you thinking that that gentleman was weird not saying anything.

STEER CLEAR OF HOME DEPOT CC

I make my payments online. Never once have I ever had an issue with making payments online, until this month.

I pay my monthly payments for any credit card including this one before or on the due date. Previously I've made payments before the bill was due and never was charged a secondary payment for the same month. Today I called because my account was over drafted x2 and after speaking with the manager of the Citi call center by the name of Tanner, who said there's nothing they can do to stop the payment from going through on their end. My bank is now in the negative.

I can't believe this nonsense. I've never had this issue before with this card and have numerous references to this exact issue.

This is ridiculousness. After today I'm closing out my card with Citi bank Home Depot.

I use to recommend this card to folks needing help purchasing items but to be fair the 6months no interest on purchases is baloney to say the least.

What other big box stores have you seen close? Don't go out and shop if you don't need to.

If you do, use common sense and don't get to close to others, wash your hands and use hand sanitizer. We survived H1N1 and we will survive this one as well.
