Home Depot will not accommodate an address change on an item that has not yet shipped and will not be delivered until September 1st at the earliest.

I ordered a freezer from the home depot on 5/25 it is supposed to be delivered on 9/1. Since placing the order online I have moved and need to update my address. I called the home depot to update the address, mind you this item has not yet shipped so this should be a simple update that should not be a hassle. However, The Home Depot who has been holding on to the $368.88 they charged to my card and are telling me that they cannot change the delivery address and would need to cancel the order and place a new order with the new address which would then place me at the back of the queue to get this freezer. Home Depot cannot give me a date of when I might receive this item because understandably with the pandemic many people have been trying to get freezers and manufacturers cant keep up. It is extremely bad service to not be able to change an address on an item which has been paid in full. Having moved i have had to change my address with many businesses, the majority I was able to do online without having to engage a customer service representative. This is unacceptable and I don't understand how anyone deals with this company and their very customer unfriendly processes. Due to the pandemic and the scarcity of this product during this time it is unreasonable and unfair to require cancellation of an item which has been back ordered in order to change the delivery address.

User's recommendation: DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES FROM THE HOME DEPOT.

Luckily, you used a credit card and not a debit card. Cancel the order and if they do not credit your credit card account in, say 10 days just dispute the charge with your card issuer. Then, find a freezer at a different store.

Vets discount

I went to our local Home Depot today and spent well over $200. I was expecting a 10% vet discount but was told my VA card needed to say service related to get the discount. Perplexed, I called the VA and was told the service related was for disabled vets. Called the store but was unfortunately not able to get ANY satisfaction. They do not have that stipulation on their website or posted anywhere. Never have had a problem with Lowes ever! Guess they will be my go to store.

User's recommendation: If you want your vets discount, go to Lowe’s.

Post on their website the stipulation of being disabled to receive the discount. I would like my 10% but will settle for transparency.

Kudos and Thanks to very good people working there!

I tried VERY VERY hard to find an email contact form for home depot, but I could not find one until I found this. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to these three employees, I wanted to give them hugs because they were so kind and so helpful, they put SO much effort into helping my family buy what we needed so that we wouldn't get screwed over in a construction/remodeling bathroom project situation, and they made our lives much easier and helped us find things that we would have never found if they didn't help us. again THANK YOU SO MUCH! Cheers and Kudos! Joseph Graciak location 6379 (wellington florida) Lou location 6379 (wellington florida) Paul location 6330 (Okeechobee flori

Problem seems resolved

The technician came back and put the connections back which was as before and it worked. So, I'm confused and not sure if it fixed the issue totally and who is telling the truth. For now, I'm going to monitor the case and will come back and update it.

Bonnie Big Boy hybrid tomator plants

Bought 8 of theses plants &;;; cared for them as we have done for the past 20 years. All except one has survived. All the others have shriveled up & died. The one that has survived has about 10 tiny tomatoes. Have you received any other complaints about these plants?

Damage to home as a result of delivery contractor

Update by user Sep 15, 2020

After several calls to Home Depot I was able to get a number of the insurance company that HD deals with as a go between the sub contractor and HD. After 5 calls and messages to Sedgwick Insurance, I cannot get anybody to call me back.

This has been 3 weeks now.

HDs response is to call a manager over at the subcontractor that has been the center of the problem to see what is taking so long to have my claim dealt with. I’m sure that is going to solve the problem since I already made a BBB claim against them.

Original review posted by user Aug 16, 2020
On April 17, 2020, I had six major appliances delivered to my home in Londonderry New Hampshire. I ordered the six appliances from the Londonderry, New Hampshire Home Depot store. These appliances were delivered to a home that was being built and still in the construction phase. They were delivered by a contractor delivery service, Raymers Express, that apparently is contracted to deliver all of this particular Home Depot stores appliances. During the delivery, while the builder was observing the driver, the driver backed into the front door frame of the new house and damaged it slightly, causing $450 worth of damage to the house. The builder immediately told the driver that he had damaged it and showed him the damage. The driver admitted fault and told the builder that he could make a claim with the delivery company. The builder immediately contacted me and I immediately contacted the delivery service to file a claim. Now almost 4 months later I have still not been made whole by Raymers express. They continue to give me excuses that the claim is still active and that theyre working on it. I have had to file a Better Business Bureau complaint against this business because they refused to reimburse me for the damage to the home. I can provide all further details if you need them. But I assure you I will never buy another appliance at Home Depot again if this company is delivering for them. This has been the most awful experience with Home Depot and I have shopped at Home Depot for decades. All this couldve been solved by simply sending me a check for $450 after I sent all the necessary documents to Raymers that they asked within two days of filing the claim. If these are the type of people that deliver appliances for Home Depot, I dont think I ever want buy an appliance there again. I would like Home Depot to be able to do something to reimburse me because obviously your contractor refuses to do so in a timely manner, if at all. It should also be noted that during that first delivery on April 17 , one of the six appliances was delivered damaged on the inside and I had a call for a rescheduling. On the second attempt, they also delivered another appliance that was refused by the builder because it was also damaged. It took until the third delivery in over a month later to finally get my refrigerator delivered to the new home.

User's recommendation: Don’t buy an appliance at Home Depot go to Lowe’s. At least a contract with somebody a little bit better than that with an F rating on the Better Business Bureau.

I asked about price on merchandise on clearance rack and it took forever for a manager to be tracked down to tell me that it didnt belong there and they would only give me 10% off. Went back a few days later and the same box was misplaced on another shelf still with no price on it!! Boo Apache Junction HD!

User's recommendation: Don’t talk to inexperienced managers.

Get as much free stuff as you can. And your pics are of Lowe’s boomer.

Slaves

Paint masks surround your face and have a dual respirator Insulation masks also surround your face and have a dual respirator Paint particle size is much larger than insulation and in turn the COVID-19 virus particles are much, smaller than insulation, and yet being asked to wear a cloth thinner than your jeans (that you can *** through, and others can smell) is supposed to help? Absolutely ridiculous.

You don't seem to understand why people are asked to wear masks. The mask does little to protect you.

What it does is stop the droplets that carry the virus coming out of you mouth when you talk or your nose when you sneeze. Are they 100% effective? No, but when everyone wears them they do a fair job of stopping these droplets from being transmitted from one person to the next.

Sure, the mask isn't the most comfortable thing to wear but it's better than dealing with the virus. Do your part and wear a mask in crowded public places.

I take it that you have never worked in retail. There are many reasons what is on the shelf doesn't agree with the computer.

It could be in someones cart, it may have been stolen, it may have been stocked in the wrong location, someone had it in their cart and decided not to buy it and just set it on a shelf somewhere else in the store, someone may have hit a wrong key when receiving it in the computer, The carton that came from the manufacturer may have only had 10 in it instead of the 12 that was on the label and the list goes on and on.

It's an ongoing battle in the day of people looking at inventory on their computers. Cut the stores some slack and realize no one is perfect.

#1910671

Most retail stores canceled formal inventory counts this year. This means on hands estimations will be inaccurate even at Lowe's, Walmart, etc. It is aggravating but understandable

#1910327

Open your own store Karen.
