No military discount

I just came back from home depot mad, don't think I will ever go there again. got to checkout showed my military card was told that we no longer accept them. I have spent about $300-400 this past week and now they say they don't accept the card. so now I will go to some other place to do my business . it is a shame the military are treated like this after all that they do for our country. just wonder how many customers they will lose because of this I know of one (me). an unhappy customer. thank you for nothing.

Boo hoo you cant save 10% employees dont even get a discount vets get free health care and medicine if they contracted a std from a *** while abroad you fight for the country you love not to save 10 cents on the dollar suck it up and pay normal prices

Guest

Maybe this guy feels self entitled because he spent the last few years killing so you *** can talk *** in the internet. Maybe we should give the discount to the liberals and the illegal mexicans and welfare *** they so dearly love.

Guest

My mother need a stove, my mother selected the stove, which I was going to purchase for her. When I asked about my military discount the sales associate told me the stove was already discounted, and there is no discount on marked down item.

Went to the Lowe's store 12 miles away, found the same type stove that was also discounted, and got my 10% military discount without any problem.

Will never shop at Home Depot again, oh by the way females are veterans also.

Guest

My favorite part of the military discount is when 2 friends walk up and one ask for the military discount then you hear the whisper of "See i saved you a lot of money". That friend never served and you are just abusing the discount!! Then wonder why they change the policy.

Atiba Xap

Another example of pro-retailer replies protecting company reputation. If companies offer a discount to the military, the more to you then.

To assume one feels entitled is laughable. Probably the same person making a few different replies using different logins.

How you can determine that someone is crying is a joke. Anonymous- thanks for the info!

Guest

:cry :cry :cry Just hate to see the cry babies crying over a lousy 10% discount they feel they are "entitled" to tarnishing the good name of the real veterans out there. :cry :cry :cry

Guest

dose Lowes offer a discount if so home depot will match it, if not get over it at least you got a discount.

the atheist home depot board of directors don't and never did give there employees a discount at least you got one.

Guest

Thank you heartless. I get sick of self entitled veterns too!

Guest

Another self entitled veteran.... Did you join the military for a 10% discount?

Everyone I know in the military thinks anyone who comes on here and complains about a 10% discount is a disgrace to the military.

So explain to me why you're so worthy of a 10% discount while teachers, police officers, firefighters, doctors, surgeons and every other hard working American doesn't? Menards a competitor of Lowes has stopped giving this 10% discount for this very reason.

I agree yes you fight for our country, but that was a choice you made. If you hate it so bad then discharge.

You already think your entitled. If you were doing it for the right reasons you wouldn't be up here complaining. Think of the young boys that were drafted and had to fight. Didn't get tri-care, discounts, housing, etc..

They did it because our country needed them to. Didn't ask for anything special nor expected it. Did it for their family, freedom, country. Certainly not for a 10% discount on some lumber and nails.

At least while your out fighting you can Skype and see your family and kids. Unlike or grandfathers, fathers, uncles and brothers that got drafted.

Original review Jul 29, 2013

I went to a Home Depot in South Delsea Dr, Vineland NJ, and I have never been treat the way this place treated me. I went to Buy a small can of paint, paint brush, wood glue, tape and 6 kitchen cabinet door nubs.

I decided to use the self service register, I scanned the paint, and I had to ask the person in charge to help, since there are certain items that requires a staff member. Than I stared scanning the other items, and when I was on the forth of the 6 nubs the employee came and took the nubs from my hand and went in the bag and counted the nobs in the bag and scanned the other 2 without explaining nor asking or telling me nothing. I was stun in what had happen, and I asked her why did she do that, since she did not give me any explanation. She said that one of the item did not registered at her register.

She is full of it. I have used those registers and if the item u scan does not register, the register voice lets me know that the item in the bag did not registered. I went the manager, who was an over weight white female with blond hair, and I told her what happen. She said I am sorry, but it is part of our policy and our employees are required to do that.

Vineland area are mostly minority, and I know that this is motivated by racism. I am not from this area, i live in an area in fl where probably this manager could not afford to live there, even if she had 2 jobs? This never has never happen to me where I live, but where I live largely are white, This indicates that what happening in this home depot has allot to do with racism. I am going to write to the mayor of Vineland, to Gov't Christi and to BBB, and not only am i going to explain to them what happen, but that I believe this is not a one time incident but something that is happening quite frequently and needs to be investigated and STOPED The address of the home depot is 3849 S.

Delsea Dr., Vineland NJ. I also want to see a copy of that policy.

I am sure that those who I am going to write are going to ask for that copy too. I am putting this in Facebook as well, so those who live in this area and have gone through similar situations in this store know they can do something about it.

The new self checkouts do not go by weight now so it will not prompt a voice to tell you that the item in the bag was not scanned. Not all stores have them but they are slowly being installed, this could be one of those stores with the newer checkouts.

So the cashier and head cashier ( the over weight white woman)<~~ no racial talk there from you huh?

need to always monitor the screen and watch as customers scan items to make sure it is scanned properly. Don't always pull out the racial card right away.

Atiba Xap

It's such a sensitive topic - and if it did happen, hopefully the company management ill look into the matter and handle it accordingly. Sometimes, the actions of others can be taken the wrong way.

It's really hard for anyone to comment intelligently about what you experienced. It appears that HD has a following (pro-HD) and will bash anyone making comments on this site. It's really a shame. I've been very fortunate being able to work with so many people from all walks of life and I still feel we live in a very blessed country.

Doesn't mean the people in this country are perfect. (me being first on that list!)In my humble opinion, the remarks made to your original post are definitely made by those with an agenda, pro-HD in any case, whether right or wrong. Instead of trying to understand what you had gone through- they choose to belittle you on spelling? lol.

Great work guys! Oh, and i really like the part about about the one guy working at HD and everyone is treated the same. How do you know what all stores / employees are doing? lol.

Working at many larger companies has taught me early on -not everyone is treated the same. Whether by gender, company title (employee / mgr / VP etc...), customer / vendor -the same?

Sure thing! Laughable.

I really appreciate you comment, it feels good to know there are people who are able to understand. Thank you. :)

First of all learn to spell. A little punctuation and proper grammar wouldn't hurt either.

I'm so sick of people with entitlement complexes playing the race card. Get over yourself. I have worked for home depot and they treat everyone the same. Like *** and with skepticism.

You're not special honey.

I'd love to see the mayor get your misspelled nonsensical letter. Should be a good laugh.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-700699

Well, I did not have to write to the mayor, because I got to talk to the store manager and the Corp manager. Companies do not want to loose customers.

When a customer feels they have not been treated respectfully, and if he/she reports the incident to the store manager and/or Corp Manager and post what happened, the stores will make sure the situation will not happen again. That was my purpose, that the next person will not have to go through the same situation again. If I am upset or angry at the time I am writing, spelling and grammar are the last thing I am thinking about. If I were to write to the mayor, I would take my time to prove read first.

I would even have a second pair of eyes to look over it. In high school writing was not my cup of tea. history, math and science were my easy subjects. I was a Register Nurse for 6 years at Newcomb Hospital in New Jersey.

After, I join the Army where I got injured, and I had to change career, so I went back to school. I attended Strayer University at night and got a Bachelor Science Degree in Accounting. What was nice, we had secretaries. When ever I needed to type a letter, she would make any correction if need.

Now with my military pension, job pension and my investments, made it possible for a early retire at 54.

Now who is laugh. :grin :zzz Now, I don't worry about one subject, :cry

You work for home depot, what would you know. Of course your are going to talk positive no matter what.

It is not the company, but the employees with your attitude that customers complaint about.

Guest

You couldn't see past the fact that the person you were talking to was an overweight blonde female. Every employee I have encountered at Home Depot has their name clearly displayed on their orange apron.

Your type of discrimination is no better than what you are trying to accuse them of. If you weren't discriminating why didn't you use her name???

Martha R Wka

This is the answer for the 1st 2 comment: I was describing the person who was fat, white female. I talked to the assistant manager the next day, if I had not described her as I did the manager would not know who I was talking about.

she is not the only blonde hair female there She was not treated like a thief.

She does not have to worry about going to a store and have some security person follower her, has I have heard from others. You are the last to talk....You do not know what it is be treated that way. If over weight is your problem that is nothing, a good diet will help.

Guest

I hope all those people you happen to contact will see your discriminating post here. I get it, you don't like fat white females who are poor.

You know what they say...if you point your finger, you have 4 pointing back at you. Quit whining and move on.

I'm a skinny white brunette who has had their bag checked at Lowes. Move on and quit calling racism.

Home Depot, Vista Way, Oceanside, Doesn't Hold up to Promises Made

I purchased over $5,000 worth of LG appliances from this Home Depot, not to mention all the $ I've spent over the years. When my refrigerator was less than 4 years old, I had to have the starter on the compressor replaced.

It cost $180 to repair, not to mention the lose of about $1,000 worth of food. I called Home Depot, was told by Asst. Man. (Tom) that I could get a store credit for my lose.

Not only did I call, I actually left a personal note & never got a phone call. Now I'd rather shop at Lowes. I'm on disability and $180 is like gold in my pocket.

Why would a large Corp not stand behind a Product/promise.To this day, I am still having problems with this LG Sad, very sad. Thanks for NOTHING Home Depot.

1st of all Home Depot doesn't warranty the refrigerator so they owe you nothing. Most parts on LG products are warrantied for 1 year.

If it were under an LG warranty or if you had purchased a repair plan you wouldn't have paid anything. Sounds like you are blaming the wrong party for your problems. In the future buy repair plans on your products if you don't want to pay for repairs.

Don't blame the retailer they are not the party responsible for warranties. Warranties are between you and the manufacturer of the product or the companies that offer the repair plans.

Kamilah Iou

Blaming home depot, almost 4 years later? Electronics break, it happens, and after 4 years is not unusual. At least blame the right party if you're going to whine.

Jashon Zkv
reply icon Replying to comment of Kamilah Iou

No it's not 4 years later. I just had back surgery and have finally gotten around to posting.

And no I'm not whining. Get your facts straight before you post my friend.

Guest

First off it isnt home depots fault that your fridge had issues. Home Depot didnt make it LG did.

Second LG does cover the parts on the compressor for 10 years, what you paid for was the labor. Home Depot is not responsable for giving any kind of compensation for the problem, LG is the one that would do that, if they feel like it. Nothing HD can do, unless you bought the extended service plan from them. Then not only would the part be covered, but also the labor.

So it would have been fixed at no cost to you. Also you claim to be on disability, if this is the case how in the he*l do you have $1000 dollars worth of food in your fridge?? Dont think a fridge can hold that much food. Unless you have a bunch of cavier, and Dom.

A whole cow doesnt equal a $1000, even if you could put fit it in the fridge. Somehow I think you are trying to scam the system.

Complain to the manufacture, not the seller. Next time think before you post something, Idi*t

No Im not an ***. Friends filled up my refrigerator to help me out.

All the facts couldn't be listed in 100 words or less. Unless you have all the facts, maybe you should keep your negative comments to yourself or ask for more information.

And no LG doesn't cover the parts for 10 years. Maybe you should do your research before you comment.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Jashon Zkv

I know what LG Covers and the have 10 years on the compressor, maybe you should do your research and quit bithci*g and whinning. So when did you actually start having the problem, you said it was less then 4 years old and so how long have you actually had it and the problem?

Maybe you should just shut up, complain to LG who made it, since it doesnt say anywhere on the product "Made by Home Depot". You get your facts straight, I know mine are. People like you who feel they are entitled and want everything for nothing p*ss me off.

Go cry a river to someone who cares. Home Depot owes you nothing.

Front door install

Home depot sucks, they screwed up this order right from the begining. The ordering desk people were inexperienced and not knowledgable about they products and services and pretended they were. Originally the order was put in on April 15th with a stock door. After week or more the installer claimed that he came out to measure the door which was a day that we home all day. Never saw him, but he said to the staff that stock door will not fit and needed a special order door that costs alot more. From that point which was around April 30th we went back and forth asking about our door that never came in to this day of June 7th. All the staff in store did was lie about when it was coming in ever the managers lied about it too. Every time you call you a different story about the door's dropped off date to the store. The last time I spoke to a manager of the department he said they don,t have any control over the vendor and can't do anything. I even mention that I work there some years ago and don't remember stuff like this going on. He's response " Well you worked here and you how it works here" >>>>> REALLY? At this point they wasted my time and money with trips back and forth phone calls and dissatisfied promisies.

Rude customer service

A few days ago I was in home depot on court street and was trying to return an item, I was able to return this item but I was dealing with an employee named Nancy. She was probably the rudest person I have ever dealt with in customer service in all my life.

Not only was she rude, but all she did was complain about her life and how bad her son treats her, it even came up about some kind of write up that she got for liking something on facebook. Now I come in this store a lot and so do a lot of my coworkers and friends, I have heard other people mention how rude nancy was to them.

I will not return to this store as long as you have employees like he working there, and I will convince friends too. Sorry that you have people likd this ruining this for your store.

Can't unsubscribe to any emails from home depot

Updated by user Jan 07, 2013

After two months and complaints across the web, I was finally able to get removed from the home depot's customer database. I was not able to get removed from the database by contacting their customer no service department, but it was because of sites like this and the...

Original review Nov 30, 2012
I made a request on the home depot's website on October 25, 2012 to be removed from all email distribution lists and to be removed from their customer database so that I would not receive any business advertisements by mail as well. 1 month and 5 days later, I am still receiving emails from the company and there does not appear to be a clear end in sight as to when they will honor my request like a reputable business would.

I contacted the person in customer service that sent me a nice canned answer to my request after a week of receiving their 3 emails per day they send and was told that it would take a "few days" for the electronic request to go through on their end to remove my email address from their email distribution lists. I have worked for companies that do business on the internet and have never heard of anything so ridiculous before in my life that it takes a few days to do anything that is electronic in nature. I know that unless they have the records of their customer's written down on paper and have to go through an act of Congress to get the piece of paper with my information on it and delete it from their system that this request should not take a few days. I am pissed now because I don't know what is so difficult for them to go into a database when searching by my email address and hit delete.

A child could do this, so they must really have some mindless seat holders sitting in the CCSC over off Paces Ferry that would not be able to function unless directed to do so. If you subscribe to any correspondence from the home depot and no longer want to receive their communication then don't expect that it will happen any time soon if at all.

Extended Warranty Lifetime hot water heater

Dear Attorney General,

In 2007 I bought a hot water heater. As I was checking out at the register the sales lady scanned the Hot water heater and up came info on her register to ask me if I wanted a extended warranty. I asked her how much. Then she said the most expensive for 99.99 is a lifetime warranty on your hot water heater. I said ok I'll take it. Now in March of 2013 the same hot water heater went. I went back to home depot to pick up my new heater and they told me they needed the old one. I just drove 20 miles so I decided to pick up a new water heater then when I bring the old one back they could credit me. I installed the new one and put the old one in the truck. I dropped it off at Home Depot # 2665. When I was at the customer service desk a nice lady took care of me. She called the extended warranty people up but could not locate me in there system. She told me she would need the original receipt. Went back to the office and returned with the receipt. She called them back up and they wanted her to fax over the receipt. She told me they would give her a answer in a few days. She told me she would call me. Over a week went by and know one called me. I went back up to Home Depot and asked to speak to a manager on this. The customer service lady called the mod manager three times. She finally came up to customer service 17 minutes latter (Jessica 617-327-**** ext 101) . She told me she would have to talk to the original customer service girl who handled it. No one called me back so I called corporate and spoke to Dwayne Benjamin. He told me he would look into it for me. He called me back later on in the day saying I should have never been charged for a life time warranty that someone made a mistake. I told him that’s not my fault and you need to honor the warranty. Since I paid 489.00 for the new hot water heater I wanted a credit for it. He told me he could only give me 279.00 credits for what I aid for it in 2007. And no credit for the 99.99 lifetime warranty. I told him forget it and we will have to go to small claims court. He said this was his offer and he would send a letter to me. It’s pretty bad when Home depot sells you a lifetime warranty and then doesn't honor it. I have lots of rental property and I do well over 30,000 a year in business with them. Why would they want to lose a customer like myself over 200.00. I am forwarding a copy of this to our Attorney General to look into this matter and how many other people have got ripped off. By the way when I bought the new Hot water heater what do you think the register girl asked me again? "Do you want to buy our extended warranty? David Notarangelo (617-839-****) slip number in 2007 ( 26**-**009-37748) slip on new hot water heater (2686-0****-*5358). Update; a letter and documents have gone out to the attorney general. The media is next in less this issue is resolved!

Sincerely

David Notarangelo

I bought the extended wardanty also...and the tank "Rheem" has a 12 yr warranty but with homecepo wareanty it is now for life. Im 6 yrs into it and the hot wter return is corroding at the fitting.

No it isnt backdraft..besides even if it was. Home depot insralled it! They wont touch it, neither will rheem..rheem sais copper and solder shouldnt have been used as it can melt something i dide the fitting...bla bla....i paid $1300 with install. I feel like im just at the beginning of tnis ordeal.

What the hell...only 6 yrs in...my wzrranty sais i have to use homedepot servise people for maintenance or it will void the warranty...but they hd, are telling me to get someone else to look at it. Their i staller said they dont servise hot water tanks..they just install them. What a joke. I wish i could sue them because i am rightous here.

Warrantees literally dont mean squat...its just advertising bubblegum. If tbe wzter tank blows, i bet my i surance company will want to speak to them.

HD installed it, pulled permits, licensed gas fitter ect...either rheem or home depot installer is responsible. Period.

Guest

The extended warranty must be registered you are only paying for it in the store still have to register it in your name. Manufacture warranty must be registered.

The extended warranty takes over when the manufacture's runs out. But BOTH must be registered!

Vishwa Tfm

You never mentioned if you registered it when you got home. It is printed on the receipt.

Take some personal responsibility . But agreed they should have helped you more for your own lack of follow up

Guest

You go to home depot and leave the defective water heater

home? you expect them to just give you another on the spot?

Come on man, you have a 6 year old water heater and you probably have very very hard water, which kills heaters,

and they offer you a full refund for that cheap heater?

Take it man and move on with your life....

Guest

I assume that if you bought an extended warranty you would have a copy of the warranty. There is no mention of it in your posting.

The warranties usually cover repair and if the repair goes over a certain threshold they will refund the purchase price. Have you taken time to read the warranty?

Guest

What the *** is a hot water heater? Why would you want to heat up already hot water?

Home Depot Treathenth Scout that doing Eagle Project

The Project Desk are not helpful in getting the materials for my son's Eagle Project located at Chagrin Falls / Bainbridge. The service desk really rude, and do not give proper customer service. They are not give a customer service they deserve as a youth in doing his community service for community in the same area. They are not respect the scout who give an effort to get a support from Home Depot by asking special discount. They ignored and let the scout really frustrated many hours and really hungry in the store until I step in and interrupted to help him, and finally get some help from other Home Depot Employee.

Oh, and to the person making the post, did your Scout complete their Eagle project? If not too late to offer a suggestion, hitting up a locally owned independently owned business may be an option for discounted or donated supplies.

I've seen a lot of small business owners contribute a lot in assisting scouts complete projects. For instance, construction companies may lend equipment / tools or offer guidance on best ways to complete a project. Just make sure the scout has plenty of friends and volunteers to help. You don't want to over burden the company making contributions.

Scouting program is really great! Good luck!

I guess not knowing a specific language makes a person less important? I've met and have known so many people that struggle with a language only to find out they actually speak a couple to a few different languages.

It really shows the ignorance when others attack a person that may or may not have faced a problem as the one stated above. Your replies do not help or encourage insight to the matter.

And, for the one that used "english" and "lets" in your response, I am happy to inform you that it is English and Let's- among other errors in punctuation made in your reply. Maybe you should spend a little more time on self maintenance rather than attacking others.

lol You pro-HD blogger you. Hahaha!

The Pro Desk is for Contractors/Commercial businesses, it is not for projects, asking at customer service would have helped better. The do have bilingual employees

The Home Depot in my area went out of their way to help my son's project. He was give a discount on his $10,000 materials purchase.

The day before the delivery they discovered the were short on the hundreds of fasteners they needed. They called to see how important they were to start the project. When they found out they were needed right away they went to other stores in the area, including competitors and got the materials needed.

They went above and beyond expectations to get his project going on time. Great work Home Depot!!!

They won't let me cancel an order they can't fill.

I ordered an item online and was told it would be available for pickup in 4-7 days. After a week I called and they told me it was backordered and would be available in two weeks. After two weeks I called again and was told it would be two to three months, and then was told it was in the warehouse but they couldn't ship it for two to three months. I've spent two days trying to cancel the order. They don't have it, don't know when they will have it, and they probably will never have it because it's a discontinued item, but they won't cancel the order and won't give me my money back. They have lost an old customer, permanently, but they have gained a lawsuit for fraud.

I ordered from the home depot online as well. SPent over $1000.00 and two months later have a $79.00 table.

Have been given the runaround as well by customer service and the only answer you can get from HD is we will email you a notice when your items ship.

Most are patio items fro use May - August. Well maybe we might have them for 2014?

Sorry you had this experience. I work at Home Depot, I know we as employees are trying hard to satisfy every customer and th8s should not have happened. PLEASE CALL CUSTOMER CARE at 1800 Home Depot the person answering the phone will document your izsue and then contact the store assistant manager on duty or store manager while you are on the phone to get a resolution asap.

Costella Jgd

I have a similar problem. I can't get anything done by talking to them on the phone so I started e-mailing them three and four times a day.

I haven't had a reply.

There are many web sits where people are complaining about THD.

It bothers me because most of those people never get their money back or the product or service they ordered.

How many lawsuits dose THD have against them?

So you got ripped off by Home Depot too. Join the club.

Good luck.

I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude and if he would just listen to what the customer was saying it might help. There was a young man in the tool rental shop that ask if he could help but he seemed to be busy in the back room so I told him we in no hurry. He was very plesant and after running into the rude customer service rep if that's what you would call him I wish I had of let the young man wait on us There was a man in front of us Tom was waiting on and Tom seemed like he was put out by having to wait on him also Needless to say we left the store without purchasing anything even though we came to pick up materials We next door to that other store Lowes and was treated well Thanks Larry Benge

Another Costly Failure from Home Depot!!!

Again a product they don't have! Does it really matter what it was??? I've been a contractor for 9 years and have never received professional service from Home Depot. Most contractors I've talked to have the same opinion. Out of stock items, no verity and inconsistent service is the norm. My company has spend a quarter million with Home Depot over the past few years....that will be the last! I can't begin to add up the cost to my company...I would say Poorly trained managers is a big part of the problem! Yes I could do a better job!

The reply looks like it came from a pro-HD blogger, lol. Typical!

No insight to the situation other than attack the person making post. Your ignorance to the matter doesn't relive any responsibility to the retailer, the place making goods available to the public.

To the person making the post...

that's a lot of business any place would love to have. I would share my story with the next place you choose to make such purchases and have them give you their best!

You attack someone attacking the original poster, ohhh the irony. Then you ask them for clarity when the original poster has none what so ever, even more irony......

Like, Like To See You Try said if the service was that bad why keep going back for 9 years? And I know for a fact this individual could not do better, if he can't handle such a small situation of being out of stock on an item there is now way he could deal with a screaming fool who won't stop until they get their way.

250,000 dollars over a few years believe it or not is not a lot of money for a major home improvement chain. I work for a competitor of Home Depot and on average my department alone sells that much in a week, we have 8 sales department you do the math. Ohhh and we are not even a top store, we are middle of the pack. We do so well that the richest man in Wisconsin owns us. Home Depot is larger than us so I'm sure they sell even more than that.

The problem HERE IS SELF ENTITLED ATTITUDE SYNDROME AND BAD CUSTOMER SYNDROME. That's right you created the problem not Home Depot.

Trust me they do their very best to keep the shelves full and have everything you need, sometimes it's just not POSSIBLE. Lots of variables to consider when keeping items in stock or having them at the store, shipping, supply and demand, manufacturing production rate, pricing, overhead, theft, misplaced items by customers and contracts/deals with the manufacture. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, NOT ALL MANUFACTURES WANT TO SELL TO HOME DEPOT. My store alone has had hundreds of manufactures walk away from us for one reason or another.

1st, they couldn't have been all that bad if you spent a quarter of a million there. 2nd, if you think you can do it better fill out an application.

You'll find out there is a lot more to retail management than you think.

Besides keeping the store in stock you also have to hire and train employees, maintain a building and parking lot and that all has to fit between taking care of customers like you. GOOD LUCK

NO RETURN WITH RECEIPT ......

06/08/2013 I went to your location at 14364 n cave creek rd, phoenix, az 85022. I purchased a fan lam kit yesterday and it did not work for me, Today I went to return it with the receipt and was declined a return or exchange. Now I did return one item 4-6 months ago without a receipt and since than no matter what I purchase they will not return with a receipt. Now today I spoke to Aaron the store Mngr at this location and was told I cannot return and it cannot be overridden. I asked if my friend can come and return this item for me with her id, The answer I got was yes. Now again its not about the $28 item its more about the principal and embarrassment I had to go through in your store. I need someone in corporate to get back to me within 10 business Days of this email and explain this to me. I have the item here and the receipt here and cant do anything with it. I don't know if this email will get to the right person, Hopefully someone will get me an answer. Thank you,

How did you purchase this item? If it was with a merchandise credit I can explain.

If you have had many non receipt returns I can explain. If you have used merchant cards that were not issued to you I can explain.

Please. Respond!

Dishwasher Installation

Beware of lack of information given by sales associaties. The installation price was quoted at $38.00, which is a good deal, until you find out by the delivery/install technician, they wont install it due to local codes. The sales person does not inform you of this, there is nothing in the literature given indicating what local codes apply that will affect the install. Part of the sales pitch is they will remove and haul off the old dishwasher. This is only partly true. If they do not install it, company policy is they will not remove it, only haul it off. The removal of the old dishwasher is the hardest part of the entire process, even after I disconnected the water, drain and electrical connections.

There are local codes regarding a dishwasher? Is it only for the newly installed dishwasher or does it apply to one that is already installed.

If it has been removed and repaired? I have never heard of any codes regarding the installation of a dish washer where I live, I replaced my mother in laws a few years ago and just disconnected the hose, wires etc...and reconnected them to the new dishwasher...no contact with local government about codes this all sounds government controlling citizens every move within their homes.

It is your responsibility to educate yourself on local/town ordinances.

Guest

Surely you cannot expect HD to be familiar with every local code in every state. There's probably a disclaimer in the said literature that addresses this...a disclaimer I'm sure you conveniently overlooked.

Mr Howard Becker

Purchased round-up at home depot on washington blvd in Whittier California and it stained the driveway even though the label clearly states this product dries clear, wont stain. Scotts insurance company, vericlaim sent ins. broker and paving co. to my home. They all agree the product is at fault. The paving company claims that there was a chemicle reaction between the cobble stone driveway and the Round-Up. The paving co. says fix will cost me about $18000.00 and they offered me $ 5400.00. Really is this fair???. Now they wont answer my phone calls or E-mails.Silly me Ive been a loyal customer since 1983.

The issue is not Home Depot, it's the manufacture who makes round-up which is Scotts. If you're going to make a complaint make it towards the right people....

Home Depot has nothing to do with this, you think they cover defective returned items?

NO IT'S ALWAYS THE MANUFACTURE. Home Depot just buys their product to sell it, they have zero liability for it.

Guest

What the *** is wrong with you? You bought a Scott's product that damaged your property.

The problem is obviously with a Scotts product as Scott's insurance company is involved. You could have bough this product at Lowes, Target or any other garden store in your area. Why are you complaining about Home Deopt? They didn't make the product and are not responsible for the problem it caused.

You should be mad at Scotts, not Home Depot.

Place the blame where it belongs. If you end up in court over this problem it won't be Home Depot that pays you it will be Scotts.

Worst Experience of my Life!

I ordered a refridge and a washing machine from Home Depot with a total value of $3000. I was told that this item would be delivered on 1/31/2013. I called back the delivery company and asked if I could push this out as far as I could because we were in the middle of a build. They told me they latest they could do it would be 2/28/2013. I kindly took this date. I received a phone call on 2/27/2013 that said my date was 2/28/2013 between 3-7. I took the time off work to make sure I was there. At 4 I received a call that the time was changed to between 4-8. I then received another call at 6:30 from the driver asking if he could turn around a 32ft truck in my driveway. I let him know that the only way this was possible would be to go in the grass. He said that was against "company policy", but that I could request a smaller truck and he would have it delivered later. I received another call on 3/3/2013 (Sunday night) with a voicemail that did not state a time or date of the delivery, but did state that they would give me a 30 minute call to let me know of their arrival. I received the "30 minute" call at 3:58PM on 3/4/2013 and the driver stated he was 10 minutes away. I told him I was at work and that it would be 30 minutes before I could get there. He then told me it was "against company policy" to wait and that my order would be cancelled! I immediately called the delivery company who said that there was nothing that they could do and that I would have to speak with Home Depot to re-order the appliances. I spent from 4:06-6:30PM on the phone and in person with both the delivery company and Home Depot. Since the delivery company is refusing to do anything except cancel the order and the appliances I purchased and PAID for are no longer on sale, I will have to pay an additional $600 for Home Depot to give me the appliances that I know are sitting on the delivery truck. I still have about $20,000 more to spend in flooring, fixtures, and other appliances and I GUARENTEE it won't be with Home Depot!

Oh does this resonate! In my case the driver refused to deliver at all, citing assorted company Policies.

I later checked these, and they are NOT as he described. I was here, pathways were clear. The guy said the pathways were not "adequate access" and refused to tell me what WAS adequate, refused even to point to the stuff he wanted moved. He left, saying he'd be back in an hour or so.

I virtually emptied the rooms with the "inadequate access" and emptied my refrigerator. 3 hours later, end of day, he had not returned and my food was spoiled.

He never did come back. I am still trying to get a refrigerator, which I too have paid for and is also no longer on sale.
