Washing machine nightmare | Home Depot review from Calgary, Alberta

I purchased a washer on sale HD and was told they would have it Dec 2 but I was not available could they deliver on Dec 5. I was told I would get a call days before delivery to confirm delivery time on the 5th. I called to confirm that it was still coming on the 2nd and was told yes but the delivery company will call about times. The 4th late afternoon called HD as I had not heard about the delivery, they confirmed that it was coming. But strange the delivery company didn't call yet, they will call you later. 7pm called HD and was told not to worry they will call 30 min before they show up but the washer will be delivered the 5. Called HD to see if I could get a time of delivery as I still had no 4 hr time slot. After the run around and talking to 4 different people, turned put no washer was coming. After talking to 3 more people the story just kept changing and ended with the paper work was on the Turk but not the washer. No washer will be delivered. After many other frustrating calls to try and find out when it would be coming they said it would come the next Thursday, then within the hour changed to Friday morning and then Friday afternoon but the delivery company would call me and let me know the 4hr window. A few days later with more confusion and different stories I was told I would be up graded to a newer model and it would be delivered Friday. Thursday came and no word of the 4 hr window. Called HD and they couldn't even tell me if a washer was coming Friday or not but the paper work said I was up graded to a newer model. Friday morning more confussion and time window of delivery changed twice. At the end of the window I had a call saying the delivery people would be there in 5 10 minutes. The delivery people where ok but not very chatty. The model they dropped off was not a newer model and HD will not talk to me about the matter at all. All the people I dealt with on the matter really didn't care about the problems in the delivery system and pretty much just lied to get rid of me even when I called them on the lie they just stated they didn't care none of it is their problem nor their responsibility. Save your self and pay extra from any other company then HD you will thank you self. Sears had no problem delivering my dryer and lowes no problem with the dishwasher. In the end the washer I was sold by HD was entered wrong so I don't even have the washer I wanted

Home Depot Cabinet Refacing Service Stinks!

Twice Home Depot has cancelled an appointment for their refacing representative to come to our home. Once it was 2 minutes past the appointment time, the other it was 30 minutes prior to the appointment time. I called to confirm the second appointment the week prior and the day prior just to be sure my time was not waisted a second time and don't you know they still did it to me! No excuse for this type of thing, period. I can't even imagine if there was a problem with your installation getting it resolved when they can't even get a sales call right.

Home Depot - Gift Card Review from Palm Bay, Florida

I had the exact same experience while in home depot with my son just getting a few things. A guy walks up looking like a home depot employee and says they Will test my water and give me a $25 gift card with NO pressure to buy anything. Well, 3 1/2 hours in to this appointment both my wife and I were scared to death of this harmful cancer causing things in my water. We bought the cheapest unit and a few days later everyone who knew I had it said it was a scam. Even my neighbor said he used to sell water softener and that it was a scam the way they scare everyone. I HATE home depot now. Oh and I stopped paying for the $4,000 unit after they said I owed $8,000 for it when I missed a payment.

I live in North county San Diego and when i went to look at the Christmas trees that looked horrible nothing like what i bought last year. So I went to Costco and got a beautiful tree for 44.00. When I asked the associate at Home depot he said he was getting alot of complaints as well. He was going to speak with his manager and get back to me. He Never did and that is why I went to Costco with my family and we had a great experience with great customer service! I would recommend Costco to anyone for Xmas trees.

Home Depot has never been known for having a lot of people around to help. Either you will have to unload these and carry them into your house when you get home in which case you should be able to load them at the store or you will have someone help you. If that's the case it would have been a good idea to have them come to the store with you so you wouldn't have had to wait for someone to help.

Or it would be a good thing if Home Depot had customer service. I can't count the number of times I have loaded heavy things at Costco onto my cart and an employee asking if I need help since I am a petite female.

I usually always decline because of pride.

Even when pulling up in front of Costco to load my car with the heavy purchases they offer to help. I guess some stores pride themselves on customer service and then there are stores like Home Depot that do not.

Special orders need to go back to the store at which they were purchased. I believe it says this in the paperwork as well (actually, the paperwork might even say that special orders are non-returnable) All stock merchandise can go back to any store, which is the part of the policy you're referring to.

You don't say if they were stock or special order cabinets. Shouldn't be a problem returning a stock item but if you special ordered them that's a different story.

Incompetent floor installation | Home Depot review from Reno, Nevada

Vinyl floor was installed in kitchen. In 24-hours floor had bubbles and seams did not meet. Installer said it was the 1st time he had installed this type of vinyl. Wanted to cut pieces of the floor out to get rid of bubbles. I said no. Tried to fix problem. Within several months, floor again had a bubble and seam was slight lifting and was cracked. Home Depot sent out the same installer who caulked the seams and attempted to cover the crack in the vinyl. This is the service provided even though this was a brand new floor installation. Never USE Home Depot for anything. They do not stand behind their service and do little other than word service to try to appease the customer. The floor isn't even a year old and looks at least 5-7 years old.

the installers came in you could tell you didn't want to be therethey made two excuses as to why they couldn't install it one was they needed a 10 foot dishwasher kid even though my dish washer to my sink was only a foot and a half. Oh yeah then they said you can't even buy a 10 foot kit for this dishwasher after I told him I would run up to the store which is approximately a quarter mile from my house.
