i recently checked with CEO & owner of MTD he told me that he was willing to do what ever it took to make it right but i said that i fixed it myself, the steering shaft was assembled incorrect.but by then it had worn past repair still not working should have let him send me a new shaft or something

maybe you shouldnt purchase a pos yardmachine, and spend the extra to get the better quality john deere or cub cadet. its not homedepots fault they dont have a manufacturing facility in the back of the store, derrrrrrrrrr

i agree with nof, the home depot did not make the item the manufacturer did and they are responsible for true warranty issues..check owners manual and it usually tells you who to call at company for service not lets have a retailer fix it for you

i work at a home depot and so many people think everything is covered under warranty that goes out for repair- last week a man had a mower and he hit something so hard it cracked the medal part of the frame. warranty issue or abuse?

number one thing home depot did not make this product. yard machine did it is not home depot's warranty it is yard machines warranty. maybe if you would have purchaced the extended warranty from home depot and then had a problem with the service it would have been home depot's fault to some degree but still then it is a yard machine problem from the factory to the yard machine service center. home depot only sells items they dont make them or repair them if you had bought it any where else you would have had the same problem
