Home Depot complaint by Pnk44
During my time working at home Depot store @6314 Stuart Florida I watched things go from pretty good to not as good to really bad. Many times I gave as did others more then we where ever paid for while all the big wigs in higher places made the thousands and millon's from our hard work. After working at Publix super markets Ten years and then wanting to try something new I watched Home Depot fail time and time again when it came to doing the right thing for there people.I honestly can say from the heart that bigger is not better and as long as people keep buying from the big box they will continue to rake in the bucks at the exspense of the worker at the bottom. Many of the attitudes one gets from the employees is a direct result in the poor operations and training that Home Depot has run on for far to long. The good ol days are gone and so IS THE GOOD OL BOY CLUB. I miss the kind of C.E.O.'s that would spend the whole month of Dec going to all there stores and wishing there Employees a happy Holiday !!!! It does matter and the stock will prove it .

The legend of Bob Nardelli lives on.It will take years to rid the company of his mindset and the managers that were trained under him.

No one seems to care either way.Alot of people work at Home Depot just for a job which is cool. But without proper training or pay how can someone become enthusiastic or knowledgeable.

Alot of employeess seem like they're miserable. The building material aisles seem to do the most work and are the most helpful. But if you need a tool wether it be a hammer or chain saw forget it.Samething if you need a plant or lighting question answered.

In our local Home Depot most employees tend to congregate in flooring and appliances. What Home Depot needs to do is cross train the employees with pay incentives to create more enthusiasm for the job.I don't want to be greeted at the door but I do want a sincere attempt to answer questions.
