Thomasville Cabinets does NOT deliver quality
Feb 21, 2008
Home Depot complaint by Jmort@hentzen.com
I ordered cabinets back in November through Home Depot. When they arrived 6 weeks later, 2 weeks late, there were 10 of 33 pieces that were defective and had to be replaced. The replacement which was promised in 10 days, showed up 2 weeks late and 5 of the 10 replacements were defective. These were manufacturing flaws not the result of shipping.

I called the Thomasville rep, Peter in Illinois, numerous times after receiving the unusable replacement shipment to get some answers as to how this could happen. He said that my numerous calls were unreasonable and that he was canceling my order. I guess if I expected quality and fair delivery from your group, then I am unreasonable. I immediately went to Home Depot to save Peter the trouble of canceling my order for over $10,000. Peter is a poor representative for Thomasville. Instead of trying to correct the problem, he tried to convince me that he was the victim with all of my calls. I guess he forgot the inconvenience of having to wait three months to receive defective cabinets and continue to put off my remodel due to your company's poor quality of product and poor quality personnel.

We recieved our Cabinets on Jan 15th, it is now April 8th and our install is still not finished. We have had one peice replaced 3 times! We had to call Home Depot Corporate to get anything done, and the customer service from them is helpful, more-so from anyone at local HD or from Thomasville. They said the flaws were within specs and that we would just have to deal with them - no way. The HD rep said the same thing as we didn't pay for seconds. Hopefully, by the end of the week everything will be done, but I'm not holding my breath. We are also pushing for a monetary rebate due to our inconvienance, not holding my breath on that either, although we will be contacting a lawyer if nothing happens.

Sounds :cry .... I have had nothing but excellant happenings with the four home flips that I did with these cabinets. You have to understand small things can be solved quickly if you are opening to being helped. Damaged items don't make anyone money, and with my experience I have had very few issues.

We are on the tail end of a remodel using Thomasville Cabinets and have had nothing but problems.

The level of quality is very low and dos not meet our expectations.

Rep from the company agreed to have a re finisher come out to take care of the problems. He came and said the scope of what he was approved to do did not cover what we needed done.

Now we are back to dealing with the uncooperative rep.

A friend told me not to buy cabinets from Home Depot. I didn't listen, I should have.

Don't buy these crappy cabinets!

These guys have been miserable. I cannot imagine how you stay in business like this. Shame on Home Depot for selling these!
