I bought an awning from one of The Home Depot's suppliers. It proved to have a serious flaw in design. AwnTech, the company, didn't give me any tech support, when I called and emailed them". Even when I went back to The Home Depot to have them call AwnTech for me, their operator told us they were out to lunch, at 2:30pm/. And never called me back..

So I get a standard The Home Depot email request to rate the product:. I rated AwnTech's tech support poorly.. And The Home Depot rejected my review". They did not want to hear any criticism of AwnTech's tech support,. Never mind that I'm stuck with a big problem?. I can fix it, but it's going to cost me. 1277534

I bought some 22ft of vinyl runner to protect my marble tiles in my hallway. The stuff is a disaster. It is a trip hazard as it buckles up in a hundred places. No reviews yet on HD.com. Tried to write a bad review just stating the facts. Guess what, I never heard from HD. Trying to post a poor review is just a waste of time. HD will ignore them to sell more of their junk. :(

Just posted a review. Bought a table and it turned out to be cheap particle board, missing screws, bolts and a part. They said

Not true at all!

I just had a similar experience with a rejected negative review. My wife bought 11 large bags of organic potting soil to grow plants for a farmer's market. The plants were sickly from the start, some died. Then came the gnats--by the million. She blamed herself but was at a loss to solve the problem in time and we had to cancel on the market despite a huge bunch of work.

When the flies hit, I researched this soil--Miracle-Gro Organic Choice--on the web and was shocked at what I found. Lots of people had the same problems. Reviews were almost all one star with very negative comments--things like "worst product ever" not profanity.

I wrote a similar comment on the HD site. There were no reviews for this product--now I know why. I wrote the first review, no profanity, just the facts, very similar to reviews on Amazon. My review was rejected. I guess they want to keep selling this stuff even though they must know that it is useless--or worse.

I like Home Depot generally, but rejection of the review really leaves a bad taste. It makes me question their honesty.

Vote with your dollars never go back! I will drive a few extra miles not to go to the Home Depot. The Management team in most stores only care about their Bonus. If they take the markdown to take care of the customer its comes off there P & L and effects their Bonus

May 2011 my dispute with Home Depot I referred them to their own website where the customers rated the item as very very low. If what you say it accurate it appears Home Depot no longer post bad reviews, it proves they are knowingly selling inferior merchandise. Home Depot refuses to listen to customer complaints much less solve the complaint. This results in a flood of HD customers posting on the web like you did. What else is there to do? HD response to the flood of bad publicity is "SocialTeam", Atlanta customer service surfs the web posting the message "I would like to look into this for you as soon as possible. If you could email me @homedepot.com, with your contact and information, I can assist. Thank you in advance - Social Media Resolution Expediter, Home Depot." When you contact them them, they give you the email address/contact phone number of the vendor. Which is exactly what the my local store did. THAT IS ALL THEY DO. HD what is wrong with you?

I speak from costly hard learned experience after a Home Depot vendor Masonite refused to uphold it's lifetime warranty on it's special order fiberglass door which cost over $1,300 and as referenced above - the HD website said the product was plain bad! Home Depot doesn't care what they sell and they don't want you to tell them when it is bad and now it appears they are omitting bad reviews. 'Social team' is a sorry excuse for HD damage control. :cry
