We are incredibly frustrated with the entire purchase experience from Home Depot. We sat at the custom order desk for over an hour to attempt completing the order for the Fall River 7-piece set with bare cushions, gray cushion covers (sent separately), lumbar pillows and a matching umbrella. I should also mention that we wanted to pay a portion in cash but were told we could not do this for an online order (even though we were paying in the store; not ordering from home), so we had to buy a gift card (which we are now stuck with - read on). ... I purchased a washer on sale HD and was told they would have it Dec 2 but I was not available could they deliver on Dec 5. I was told I would get a call days before delivery to confirm delivery time on the 5th. I called to confirm that it was still coming on the 2nd and was told yes but the delivery company will call about times. The 4th late afternoon called HD as I had not heard about the delivery, they confirmed that it was coming. A family member purchased a fence from Home Depot of Spring Hill Fl, paid $1700 cash and $300 on a Home Depot Credit Card. The delivery person was rude and gave a hard time when delivering the fence. After the installation we noticed the colors of the pickets were noticeably and horribly inconsistent and 60 of them were split and cracked! The fence has only up for two weeks- We have been dealing with rude managers, and Corporate Customer Care with no resolution as of yet. Well I've learned the hard way that you NEVER want to order anything from the Home Depot website (HomeDepot.com)! We placed an order for a patio set on May 25th. It took a couple of weeks to get the chairs and the umbrella but it's now July and STILL no table and no ETA! We'll be lucky at this point if we have it by August since it apparently hasn't even shipped yet.... We've called multiple times and keep getting lame excuses that they "can only email the warehouse" (NonStop Delivery) so they can't find out any more information. What kind of... Read more

Ordered a gas range from a local Home Depot. Scheduled delivery for Sat. 1/17/14. Got an automated phone call on 1/16 stating the appliance would be delivered between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on 1/17...and that I'd be contacted 30 minutes before they arrive. Delivery never happened. I stayed home all day, like a good customer does. Started making phone calls around 1 p.m. Automated system kept saying the time frame was set. We purchased following three items from Home depot on 11/26/2013 Dryer, Refrigerator and Cooking range. Additionally we paid $17.99 to move existing Refrigerator to our basement. On first attempt of delivery Only received Dryer and delivery reps told us that refrigerator and cooking range is damaged. I ordered two GE appliances through a corporate partnership website. The delivery was handled by Home Depot. I picked the date, Nov 15, and received the gratuitous confirmation call on the 14th letting me know the products would arrive between 1 pm and 5 pm. This is a true story x2. . I recently wanted to purchase an electric fireplace for six hundred dollars. Home Depot would not assemble. Ok no problem. I have assemble quite a bit of furniture. But for $75 they would only deliever it curb side. That is correct. They would not bring it in the house. Let me tell u there was no way I could carry it in. I am sure it weighed over 400 lbs.. I purchased almost $5000 worth of appliances on 6/23/2013 and told 3 to 5 day delivery. I then was immediately told teh refrigerator was on back order and delivery would be 7/10/2013. Next, refrigerator wouldnt be in and new delivery date would be 7/25/2013. Just got the call, now the range is on back order and new delivery date "MIGHT BE" 8/6/2013. Beware of lack of information given by sales associaties. The installation price was quoted at $38.00, which is a good deal, until you find out by the delivery/install technician, they wont install it due to local codes. The sales person does not inform you of this, there is nothing in the literature given indicating what local codes apply that will affect the install. Part of the sales pitch is they will remove and haul off the old dishwasher. This is only partly true. If they do not install it, company policy is they will not remove it, only... Read more
